Usual just right tutorial I have no problem pointing people to your channel when they ask other creators SB questions in the comments 👍

Great video! I will wait until this is part of the SB deck :)

You can literally add the deck button yourself. Just have to tie the action created here to a deck button with input.

WoW Amazing Stuff my friend, a lot of stress taken off of the streamers shoulders knowing the viewers (mods) can adjust the volume levels, I have renamed my audio sources in preparation, now I just need to find some mods LOL

Cool video. I was looking and it looks like you "GetInputVolume" so you could display that in a text source that pops up for a second, giving your mods a reference point to better know an appropriate number to shift to.

You can, yes. There are a lot of different OBS Raw inputs to choose from. Well spotted.

As always great tutorial that I will implement. 2 questions. 1. Do you know why if using nested Scenes Browser Source MP4 files can't be heard in Monitor. Even on Moniter and Output it still won't play in ear, just on stream and output. If I just have them as Sources, then they work in ear fine. But MP3 files with just sound play fine from nested scenes. Just Curious. 2. On your obs sound vid you talked about disabling mic sources and using the plugin for Audio Input Capture instead. So, I have 2 mics I use 1 for PC streaming and 1 for VR from my Quest. So, I have to have 2 sources if I leave on default, it won't be up either source selected on my pc, just like discord wont. I have to manually Change the Input each time in OBS. So, I have just been using the OBS settings mic 1 and mic 2 and been muting and unmuting depending on the situation. Which I guess I could do the same by setting up 2 individual Input Sources but I'm not sure the benefit of doing that overusing the settings mic ones. I don't remember you telling exactly why but you said it was just better to do that. But it has been a min since I watched that vid.

1. This will depend on a lot of factors and how you have your sources set up. You also need to control audio via obs (checkbox in browser source). It also depends on the source of that browser source (local, internet, other PC, etc). Your log file would also need to be looked at. It may be as simple as you didn't nest the scene properly, or have a visibility toggled somewhere. 2. Microphones don't use the audio plug in from that video. Setting the default values to disabled allows you to control what mic is added, and where. This is all direct input though (through source add>Audio Input device). If you have your microphones both added (mic1 and mic2) to your audio scene, and that scene is nested in all of your other scenes, you only need to click to mute the one you aren't using in OBS once. Depending on your bot usage (streamerBot, FireBot, etc) you could potentially be able to set the mute the moment you go live depending on game being played, tags, or other criteria.

@@beardedink Ok 1 is local files that ate memes with sounds. Others are like own3d and soundalerts for twitch. They all work fine if there just set as a source inside if my live scene but if i make then there own scene and nest them into the live scene then I cant hear them. But the viewers can so it not a huge deal. Was just curious ill keep messing with it. 2. Yeah i knew the plugin from the vid wasent for the audio input. I was just referencing that vid cause that where you said to disable the mics. But I never thought about having SB turn them off and on. Im gonna spend a bit working on that and researching. I try to use every resource i can before asking. Thanks a ton.

Also what is OBS audio monitor function? What is it's porpoise?
@beardedink
@beardedink 26 күн бұрын
The monitoring is to determine the I/O of the audio source. Monitoring means you can hear it. So Monitor Off means it is sent out but not sent to your speakers/headset. Monitor Only means only you hear it, no output to stream or recording. Monitor and Output means both headset and stream/recording get the audio

@@beardedink you have an OBS monitor in your audio scene what is it monitoring?
@beardedink
@beardedink 26 күн бұрын
It monitors the obs.exe and the obs-page.exe some local files/browser sources will have audio and only play through obs itself. It's a basic replacement for the default desktop audio that I disable during set up.
