Thank you. I'm just a guy who likes wrenching on a budget who tries to help others with tricks and hacks I learn along the way.

Do it with a 92 and an LS harness. Please.

Good work can you build a wiring harness for a 97 Silverado Z71 for a ls swap

I'd love to do these for people if I had the time. Unfortunately, time is my enemy, and I can't dedicate enough of it to do them. I have faith everyone can do them with time and patience

I wish there was content for how you thinned down the 98 harness. Like you mentioned, i have more time than money and would really like to save a few bucks. I do like the idea of that junkyard harness connection.

I started thinning the harnesses here. Like I always say, the junkyard will provide. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZrYXmyMetN8racsi=Ij11KMGcTVWQGuOd

From what vehicle you found the connecter and what’s the name of it?
@macsboneyardbuildsАй бұрын
@joshuamendoza5600 it was in a large construction van. I suggest going to the junkyard and digging under the carpet. There are a lot of connections going from the front to the back. Or you can always hit up amazon and search for a 12 or 15 connector. Or two 6 pin connectors, etc.

Hey man! Not sure if my question got posted to a comment or not! I'm struggling to find where the pin 11 of the black c1 connector goes to its the serial data wire... Lt1 swap description has it as the dlc connector but im not sure where to tie it into that either. I'm hoping you found it's home?!? Thanks!!
@macsboneyardbuilds8 ай бұрын
That's the obd signal. Once you pull it from the black 11, it will tie into the blue 58 coming out of the LS pcm.

@@macsboneyardbuilds you sir are the man!! Thank you so so much! Absolute life saver!! Just for clarity sake that's a splice into the wire coming from pin 58 Blue? Thanks again!
@macsboneyardbuilds8 ай бұрын
Yes. Pin 58 will be going to nothing when you thin out the ls harness. It will tie into black 11 to run the obd port in the cab👍

@@macsboneyardbuilds I'm running an aftermarket harness that has a wire in there already for serial data that runs to pin 2 of the DLC. That's where my confusion lies
@macsboneyardbuilds8 ай бұрын
@chesterfield.mcdermott does the aftermarket harness already have an obd port attached to it? If so, you'll just have two ports. One for the engine side and the other (factory) for the abs module.

I have a ls swap I'm doing I would like to put a 5.3 in a 2006 infiniti g35 so my question is how hard would it be to add a cambus system to make the factory gauges work in my g35?
@macsboneyardbuilds9 ай бұрын
Sorry, I'm not your guy for that. Crossing platforms like that, I would do something like gut the factory dash, grab some sheet metal, and put some autometer gauges in. Maybe try to find a cluster rebuilder who is familiar with Infiniti gauges. They may have an answer for you.
@macsboneyardbuilds9 ай бұрын
I'm also sure there are g35 ls swap forums, somebody has had to have done it before.
@dustinsamson48799 ай бұрын
I can buy a pre built harness but it's like 1800$ but if I can find away to build my own like you have done here I would be better off and saving dollar's. Any thank you for the reply back I have just discovered your Chanel and I'm subscribing. Again thanks for the reply back!!
@macsboneyardbuilds9 ай бұрын
Absolutely. Maybe try and find the wiring schematic for the g35 and just go for it. Then, if it doesn't work, the worst case would be to save up for the prebuilt. Keep after it, you'll figure it out!
