Today on Obscure Gaming, I promote fictional animal violence because I'm talking about a game called Bloody Roar 3 that involves animal human hybrids fighting each other. Suck it PETA.

This game was never obscure among my friends. It is simplistic on the surface, like Tekken, but has move timings you can change up mid-combo, multi-path combos, and some strategy on the transformation meter.

Lot of interesting designs went into the series over time and some deeper thought mechanics than mentioned. Quick in place dodges with timing that could make you woosh around predictable combo timings, a duck that goes lower than typical crotch for a brief moment with a double tap down, much easier to use side step mechanics that let you really play the arenas of choice, even forcing the opponent to fall to their knees, like light hitting them on final hit, makes the enemy officially class as crouched so your anti couch moves have more Likely use than in many fighting game series. Going beast changes some statistics like impact class like how high or far you hit them and pending on their human and beast state. Rave mode for each character also changes some elements per character and what they can string. Someone who thinks they'll run and let the clock run down can be counted with rave node as it makes then faster and stops the round clock, rave mode playing the gamble of all their breast energy in it's own kind of time limit. Beating in standard beast mode turns that change activation button into another attack button that singe planned, and made up I the fly combos can expand upon alone. So many things were done right and the side plots that wind around the main stories can get interesting from corporate warfare, countries born through sacrifice, and even those experimented upon. Some of them in turn only to find themselves cloned, revealed to them they're the clone, and one who only learns of such after reaching back from the grave as his materials forward into a robotics program secretly continued in a sub division of a company that has already found it's parent companies doors shut . There is so much to the series and even the very first game set a rather interesting stage for some pretty heavy circumstances to reach the light of day by the second title, then brought all the more come the third, including but not limited to, the marks that claimed place upon many beast men, and to a long hidden away seal that one man sought intentionally to unleash that what was to powerful for the world and was removed thus from creation, the un born. I recommend playing the titles you can find, particularly BR 3 or Extreme/primal fury. Then go ahead and find a few KZbin videos that cover some stories from the universe. The series deserves the now rumored return that's been floating around. Hopefully more wall smashing, floor breaking, mid fight form changing, blood splashing to the walls, anime like choices and quirks, with speed chess match like game play will be here again soon. There's just so much more to it than what's been shown off here, and yet add the video says, it's easy to get started. But there's so much more to the mechanics that can be played with. Air juggles to death are possible, but only if you get extremely predictable. Recover in air, on floor landing, or stay down a moment longer. You have ways out of a lot of combos that the combo dealer can still find more tricks to play. Anyone can enjoy this game and I never met the man who played the game not go back and play it some more. Not all know of it, but those who played it all enjoyed it and often didn't realize just how many fellow fans there were.

I didn't go into full detail but I did mention that the future of the series is unknown at this point. The games developer Hudson Soft ceased to exist on March of this year and was absorbed into Konami, so who knows when/if there will be a new game. I would like to thank Wikipedia for the specifics on the matter.

Yes, obscure and bad are two different things, as are obscure and good. As you said, obscure means that not a lot of people know about it, though it can also be something that's odd or weird. I've talked about obscure games like this that are good, but I've also talked about others that are bad. So where are we going with this?
@Yuriofwind
@Yuriofwind 12 жыл бұрын
Well thank you. When it comes to what I decide is Obscure, I tend to pick things that I myself don't see get any attention from everyone else, so they may not be super obscure games, but they're enough so that they warrant the video.

If you don't like the humor that's fine, everyone has different tastes. However, the majority of the people who watch my videos find them funny, even though the humor is unintentional. Since they like it, and I like it, I don't see myself changing how I do things. Not to mention, focusing purely on facts is just boring. At that point I'd be better off pointing people towards a wiki for them to read. So no, things will remain as they are. I like what I'm doing, and my viewers like it as well.

Bloody Roar was my favorite ps1 fighting game.. there was just so much crap to do and the combos were out of this world. There were even a way to get your character to change color and outfits or make you look like wobbly head dolls and it was the strangest thing too. We had to press or tab different buttons on the controller while loading the game in different combinations or for certain amounts of time. And we didnt have internet so we had to figure it all out on our own, it was epic-fun-time!

A good game for Obscure Gaming is Baten Kaitos Origins. It was released at the end of the Gamecube's life-span, a few months before the Wii was released, but the gameplay is fun and original and the story and characters are amazingly well-written. I'd recommend it to any RPG fan.

I'm by no means against it as I enjoy the work of a lot of the content creators apart of Normal Boots. My things is, I don't want to just ask if I can join, because I think that's pretty rude. It's their site, so it's not my call to make. If I'm ever approached to join, or if someone else asks and then they want me to join, then I'll do so, but I'm not going to try and force my way in. Whatever happens, happens, either way I'll keep making videos. :3.

I see, well that's kind of sad. I mean personally I think people should respond to their viewers(obviously it's impossible to respond to everyone, but make an attempt) because without the viewers, the video maker wouldn't be where they are. As far as being friendly and humble, that's just my personality :3(except when dealing with douches) I'm under the mindset that no one is better then anyone else. We're all on a level playing field. If I had 100,000 subs I'd still respond to comments. :3

Fairly competitive, though it depends on the game. I have no local fighting game scene in my area, as I live in the middle of nowhere. I also can't travel into the city to play in tournaments there because I'm not all that great at driving due to the medications I'm on. I do have a few select friends I play these games with though. Ideally, I'd like to make it out to Evo next year though. Not to win, because that's a snowballs chance in hell, but more to just experience a great tournament.
