Plants Vs. Zombies was a global sensation when it first hit the market all those years ago. But really, does that shock you? It shouldn't. Because in today's video, we're discussing the thing that made it so big, which was, well... the seemingly endless amount of versions that this game has! Hopefully you learn something new in this video!

The Flash demo was actually my first experience with PvZ. I played it over and over again and, one day, I would eventually get my hands on the DS version, which is when I really started to love this franchise.

7:26 the J2ME port is real, and to top it all off it was made in 2012 after Java phones already became obsolete. You should’ve also talked about how the DS and Java versions have new music, the Java one just uses the same music from Bejeweled Twist’s Java port for some reason. Interestingly, unlike basically all of Popcap’s J2ME ports, it has no credits or any other music besides that one song.

i dont know why, but i felt like i played the java PVZ 1 version (7:05) at least once. i cant remember much, since i was like 4 or something, but when you mentioned this version, i suddenly rembered attempting to beat Zomboss in adventure mode. cant confirm, but i still remember it to this day

So... Funny Story. At the time we played and played and played the Original Flash Version. Especially me. My parents knew I loved this game and saw a copy of it for the PC. The ORIGINAL not GOTY. I played it for hours and it was the best gift for the family my Father would ever get. Everyone loved this game, so addicting and very unique. Followed by getting the DS Version as a Christmas Present in 2012 or 2013. It is considered one of my most treasured DS games of all time. So much Content packed into a DS Cartridge and for a DS Game it is the most impressive I have ever seen on the system just seeing almost around 30 or 40 zombies on the screen at the same time and just trying to make the DS render it all.😆

Modded PvZ TV is just amaizing. Literally makes the games 10000% much better. I recommend the mod that was made by CharneleX. It add limbo page content, vs mode and all the survival endless. Its better than the trash android version fr

Fun Fact about thr PSVita port, you will think wil DPad and Touch screen you could use both for a interesting experience, yes that port has both options, just one thing, you can only use one at the time, Who for me confuse my brain, having it in my hands and playing with a DPad is strange, meanwhile the touch screen is uncorfortable beacause the DPad and Square, Circle, Triangle and X are in the way

Currently, the pvz1 version I'm stuck with is the free, android version. *pain*

Actually, PVZ Android TV (The First Version) has Versus and Co-op. It's not recreated. It's also being controlled by a controller exactly like the Xbox or PS5 Version of that game. There were no micro transactions in that version at all. The Newer Versions of PVZ Android TV removed VS and Co-op and has microtransactions added with higher difficulty. The Controller input is also broken.

By the way. It can run on Android phones as well. For the first version, you need an OTG and a controller (or 2 controllers) to play it. Or perhaps, you can plug your phone on your PC and use Scrcpy (Controller Support) to play it.

I actually played the Java version of PvZ1 back in 2015. It was a little difficult to play because it's too small and less content because of memory. Regardless, it's still good that I played it. 🌱
