Something about the cut Wii play motion mini games, the unicycle one was close enough to completion to where if you got a platinum medal in all mini games you could actually play a short course as a title screen demo. There was also an extra scrapped game you forgot to mention with a dolphin that you could also play as a title screen demo since it was close too. They’re both fun to play I wish they made it

Maybe the blue guy is used as a placeholder for the Miis before they get implemented into a game because adding mii support to a game may be different and waste time if done at the beginning of development. But this is just my guess why it exists.

btw: the people in that Wii Party ad referenced in Persona 5 are legendary Japanese boy group, ARASHI. Since their entertainment agency, which I shall not name due to its founder being... well... a kiddy diddler, was until very recently extremely protective of both their talents' image rights and very opposed to export of their musical output, that reference doubles as skirting around both copyrights and image rights.

1:00 They didn't "copy the poses perfectly", they literally copied the entire image and then just changed the W to a weird looking V. You can even still see it says Wii in the smaller text below. Not so much a neat detail as them putting in the literal minimum effort required (probably less than the minimum, Nintendo would probably win a lawsuit if they cared).
