Mantic Games- Deadzone Plague Corruption!

Mantic's latest Plague addition is the perfect model for my forces!
While I've liked all the big plague models going back to the original kickstarter, the Corruption looks like a nice middle ground between the original first gen Plague and the gorilla- like Aberration.
Too many arms are always a plus as well! The sword I can take or leave- it looks a bit out of place with it, and I can't think of any other model in Mantic's future stable that would carry it. Too long for an Enforcer or Marauder, too small for a Strider. Easily fixed though!

Same feeling about the sword, to big, to out of place, I think a big pipe or something debris-like would be more fitting

DARN!!!!!!!!!!! I wanted to see your paint scheme!!!!!!!!! I painted a whole army of these guys. I did purple skin for mine. I'm BUMMED:(!!!!! I wanted to see YOURS!!!!! I did camo of both cloths nothing special. I did bloody it up with gloss red for a more visceral look:)!

Having played all editions of Deadzone, I can easily say that 3rd edition is the best one.

They redid the leapers, teraton (think I spelled that right), and the 1st gen leader guy (the new leader comes in the firefight starter for plague). There is also a new burster/fatty zombie model that is made of metal.

I painted a few of these up. Some seemed to have sinewy muscle and bone plates. So pinkish, ink washes, and bone colored dry brushing and I was done. The smaller ones I painted them up like zombies in dirty combat fatigues.

I do love the Plague minis, but I can't think of any stories of the infected near mindless rampages stopping to learn metal smithing and smelting and being able to craft a sword in between mindless violence outbursts. It should be a weapon tien from a Strider or Iron Ancestor or something similar. The Plague are more of a smash and grab army. I just can't see a stage 2 leaper setting up a blacksmith shop and banging out swords.

I've never built ant resin minis from Mantic, only plastic, but I have always loved how they save money by putting the product in those tray boxes and not including any kind of instructions.
