Generally devices that only use redstone can look sort of ugly when integrating it into a build. But this looks fantastic. It's got a uniform, simple look to it, and the observable parts of the door have a great symmetry too! Well done man, this is fantastic.

I remember back when 3x3 piston doors took up an entire room. Now they can be made one block wide using only 2 components (observers and pistons, and a lever if you wanna be strict). Dang, has technology improved.

I actually thought about that when I was building It. If you put a piece of string in front of that center observer it doesn't seem like It'd be very hard to get that signal to open the door.

I actually thought that's what observers did when where first added. I though they saw the player or any mob walk in front of it and then it activated it. I was very confused cause I placed loads of sheeps in front of it and it never worked. lol.

wait but this is actually genuinely great. this is like the simplest 3x3 door that looks good from both sides. and it fits nearly anywhere. and you can power it with hidden methods due to the observer.

This is actually amazing, you dont need to use non sticky blocks for the first layer of whats infront and behind it, cuz theres no slime, and the observer in the middle could be seen as like a face scanner
