EXO are unbothered Kings. They don’t care about awards anymore. They just put out music for the fans to enjoy. You can never find a group like EXO. They have one of the best vocal line, if not the best, among Kpop boy groups. I said this because they have the techniques, dynamics and beautiful tone and vocal colors. They also have the hardest songs to sing. They are better live that non-fans think they always lip sync. All members can sing, rap, and dance. The rap is like music to the ears. They have intricate dance moves. Some are music producers, composers, and songwriters. All are actors. Some are brand ambassadors of luxury brands, cover of magazines. Anything that they endorse sell out, even products that fans see them using. Baekhyun even said once to the fans to not buy all of them because nothing will be left for him. They also had less promotion for the last few comebacks compared to other groups. Right now, the group is on hiatus because of members’ military enlistment so they focus on their individual careers. They also don’t follow trends. They are the trendsetters. They are always relevant even without a comeback. These are the “why’s” why it’s hard for me to stan other groups when I made EXO my standard. the fans are called EXO-Ls! this comeback only has six members - originally there were 12 members, three of the four chinese members left the group years ago, two of the remaining members were in the military, and the last chinese member was not able to promote with the full group for this comeback due to political tensions between korea and china! all members of exo have done acting/musicals, most have done modeling, and they're all very well known and successful in asia. the comparisons with bts are kind of tiring but common because of bts's popularity in the west. both groups are talented but very different and trying to do different things like you said! you guys should react to more exo if you can! call me baby, overdose, tempo, love shot, love me right... all amazing! exo explores a lot of different genres in their music, so i highly recommend their concert performances if you want to see more of their vocals. Thank you! Thank you so much for being open minded when it comes to EXO. I've been a fan since 2012 and I can assure you guys EXO's very versatile. Although they are more known with R&B Pop because of their insane vocals, EXO has done different genres. All members are very talented and already are known in their own fields as individuals such as acting/musicals/fashion, etc. Plus, EXO actually has this Mysterious vibes for other idols especially rookies but many anecdotes from staffs and idols says how humble and down-to-earth the members are. EXO's dubbed as the Korean Nation's Pick. (They have attended various events to represent Korea such as Winter Olympics/Dubai Fountain Show/Korean Tourism ads and were even awarded medals for each member by spreading Kpop) For me, EXO's very well known in Asia since they are a Korean-Chinese group and they do not lean to Western music that much. Plus, the company does not put effort to promote EXO in Western countries. All members are Drama/Movie/Musical Actors. EXO has a concept, they are aliens with superpowers from EXO planet and perpetually fighting and saving the humankind from the Red Force, and all thier MVs are connected. It's like a whole ass marvel universe. The EXO fanwars with BTS make no sense. Only real armys and EXO-Ls know that both groups are actually friends and respect eachother very much as it has been proven many times. It is the childish "fans" that show hate towards other groups just because they only know one group or the other. While EXO has been doing what they do much longer, they aren't as popular as bts because of the company they are under. There are the top three companies SM Entertainment (the company exo is under), YG, and JYP. SM treats their idols really bad and barely promotes them (this is why exo isnt really known in the US.) All SM artist are really talented in everything they do. This is why we stan SM artists but not the company. Now while EXO isnt really known in the US they are one of the biggest boy groups in Korea. They have the most wins in award shows out of any group. Pretty sure its almost at 120 wins and awards. Anyways im glad you guys recieved a lot of love. EXO-L's love to see people enjoying their music especially now since we are in such a long hiatus. Tempo is another great song I recommend. There WAS 12, three sued SM Entertainment and left EXO permanently so there are only 9 members now. The three who left were Chinese and left at different times. There is only one Chinese member left, Lay. Lay can't perform with EXO because there is a lot of political tension between Korea and China. In this "Obsession" MV, three of the nine members were missing: Lay because he's stuck in China and Xiumin and D.O. because they are in the military. Since this MV, the leader Suho entered into the military but D.O and Xiumin will be back in a couple of months. Baekhyun, Chen and Chanyeol will be going in the military sometime next year and Lay is working solo while stuck in China. It might get confusing when you watch their MVs because there will be different amount of members in different MVs because members are missing and/or left at different times so some MVs will have the original 12 members but then it'll slowly go down to the 6 you see here in "Obsession". Right now, until all 9 members can get back together the members are concentrating on their solo careers as singers, actors, models, etc. EXO had their debut a year before BTS. They are known for their vocals and visuals. SM Entertainment is the biggest agency in Korea and all SM groups are known for their strong vocals and visuals. EXO has never wanted to be mainstream and change their genres every comeback. lol For new k-pop fans just remember, EXO and BTS are only THIRD (3rd) generation of k-pop! There are first and 2nd generation groups that are still active i.e. Shinhwa, TVXQ, Super Junior, etc. BTS is not the first nor will they be the last. Already NCT and TXT are 4th Generation groups. I'm new to your channel and really love how aunthentic your reactions are! Like how you openly discuss BTS with EXO 🥰 I love both groups but I'm more draw to EXO because EXO is simply EXO. The thing is SMEnt's (Exo's agency) target market is Asia, mainly China, that's why they are rarely promoted in the US. But in Asia, they say you're not Asian if you don't know EXO. To also put it simple, BTS changed their target market to USA because they didn't have much room to grow in SKorea because EXO is dominating SKorea and mostly Asia. In China alone, unlucky for EXO-Ls they don't have KZbin, EXO's videos are almost upto 10 billion now, that's why for us views don't matter cause not everyone has the privilege to KZbin 🥰 And this too, EXO is known not to join the trend, but they are the trendsetter! There are still alot of things you have to uncover about EXO. EXO has the best storyline in Kpop industry, you have to know their storyline and get your mind blown 🤯 Lastly, I love EXO because they are so down to earth. In interview they really don't talk about their group's acheivements but they openly talk about Kpop in general and how thankful they are too to other Kpop groups for bringing Kpop to the world. Exo songs and music are very diversed. They are known for their iconic bridges and how they breakdown their music while flexing their vocals. They are that one group that literally ALL members CAN sing (their lead vocalist can be main vocalist if they were in another group,their main vocalists are one of the Best in Kpop. Thay are the top tier in terms of Harmonization. Even their rappers can sing) , all members can dance ( their choreo may looks easy but it's complex and hard, and synchronized dancing) , and in Kpop a group must atleast have 1 or 2 visual but Exo have 9 visuals! Even the 3 old members that left are also visual. Up until now, seniors and juniors of Exo are really amazed how their company put all talented and visually pleasing idol in one group. And oh, Exo are also known for their character. They are the Humble Kings and very mannerly. Promoting Kpop as a whole not just their group

I think you should check out of their introduction guide. EXO Introduction in 2020 and then guides of each member. With your opinion about 2017 at Mnet Music Awards that awards show when everything was sabotaged, disrespect to EXO in every aspect, at that show, EXO only got one award and it was Album of the year. I don't want to drag on the other artists, every idol deserves to win, because all of them worked hard, EXO in the same way. But EXO has known for making a big gap when it comes to voting and all of the percentages of the vote are shown, and EXO had a huge gap to the second nominated, but you know what the third one has that awards. And also Mnet not only being a clown to EXO but they are also treating shit to EXO-L, the staff is doing mistreat to fans. A lot of things happen that night, but haters talking shit that EXO was crying because EXO won’t get any awards because their company has stopped buying trophies for them 😡😡 But in reality, Mnet is the one who has to speak out and gives any words to describe how. BUT Mnet still silent till today🙂 Besides that not only EXO who gets mistreatment, Super Junior was having that mistreatment to that night. This comment will be too long if I wrote all of the accident that happened that night🙂 You should check EXO vs Mnet 2017 ¿What went wrong¿ EXO had been through a lot of hardship in their careers, from the beginning EXO was known or get nicknamed to be the SM’s failure, but just in one year they proved they are more than haters was shiting about. But, all of the hard time beginning in 2014 when Kris was deciding to leave EXO and sue their company due to lack of freedom and mistreatment, but in my opinion, SM has been a long time company and SM has known to produce idols, not to make a group whp produce song, and at that time EXO only 2 years old of the group, which is kinda hard to produce their own song, SM vision is different from YG ent vision. That's a thing. SM had a lot of producers, songwriters, etc to make a song for every group in SM, so the competition in making a song is kinda hard. SM lets their artists contribute to their song, but it must be had that SM standard, it is a thing too. I feel like comparing EXO and BTS is like comparing apples and oranges. Yes, they are both fruit but they have different flavors. I’m EXO-L, not ARMY but I have great respect for BTS and their fandom. It’s amazing what BTS has accomplished and their relationship with their fans. I enjoy other groups, I’m an ELF (Super Junior fan) and a SONE (SNSD fan). I think there’s a flavor in K Pop for everyone and there really isn’t a need to pit groups against each other.

To say that in EXO someone is better and someone is worse is simply IMPOSSIBLE because absolutely every participant is unrealistically talented, this is literally an IDEAL GROUP. Every EXO group and solo album is on a completely different level to this day, even after 10 years of career. I am absolutely not afraid to say that EXO is a real K-POP, now there are countless groups in the fourth generation, but they absolutely do not stand out in any way, trying to focus more and more on the West and POP music, thereby becoming monotonous and disposable. EXO is the only band in the entire K-POP industry, by the way, to this day where literally every member sings amazingly, including rappers and dancers. Minute popularity does not determine the talent and legendarity of the artist, because even after 10 years of his career, EXO songs are literally sung by the whole of Asia, because EXO is the real K-POP. I will never stop admiring this amazing band, even if 40 years pass, let a billion more bands like bts be released, they will never surpass EXO because their music is timeless, this is what defines the legendary artist.

The 3 that left were Chinese members they did not go to the military. The 9 left consist of 8 Korean and 1 Chinese member. There are 4 Korean members that are currently enlisted in the military so they are focusing on solo projects for now. Hope that helps!
