This house is a good fit for you and your family. The last house felt constrained and you seemed stressed out at times. You transformed that house considerably and the growth in your approach to business has benefited from that experience. I definitely miss that garage though because that garage layout was nice and those Saber cabinets with the wood top actually grew on me with time. I think you found that happy medium now of controlled chaos where you can finally take on projects when they are deemed appropriate but livable in the meantime.

I put RadioRA2 Select in our home. Rock solid for 2 years. It’s the real deal. Don’t sleep on motion sensors for areas like your pantry or master closet. You forget how great not hitting a switch all the time becomes.

You can spray a mix on white vinegar with a little dish soap in it to kill the plants on the walkway. Best to do it when its hot and dry. You can repeat next day if needed-but it kills plants pretty quick and is eco-nice.

I'm exercising my American right to own a shed too! I am building mine myself since I didn't like any of the options available here in California. So far, it's perfect! All that is left to do is finish installing the door, painting it, then the install the shingle roof. It's been a lot of work building it from scratch. But I've got exactly what I wanted. Your house is looking good, I didn't recognize it at the start of the video! Glad to see beach balls on the roof, indicates normal kids live there... lol

Just curious will you be installing high lift garage door rails ? Once I decided to go with Liftmaster wall mount I enjoyed the no obstruction and installed the high lift garage door rails to utilize all of my ceiling space and have a Bendpak four post lift to store my cars. Helped tremendously in my three car garage. Hopefully our forever home will have a dedicated garage for just my toys.

It's from Mohawk. I don't remember the model. I learned my lesson doing too plush of carpet. It's awesome on your feet, but plush carpeting looks terrible most of the time.

Hey for the sound dampening, on the new house is it possible to just make the room or rooms sound proof by putting panels in the wall or whatever special materials they use for that kind of thing? Stuff in the wall reduces noise going between rooms. Stuff on the wall stops noise bouncing off the walls and back at you creating an echo.

All that window trim and garage doors need to be painted iron ore. That tan-ish color looks absolutely terrible. There are way too many colors going on. It doesn’t look finished.

We did that by painting the trim on two of the main windows. The windows are white, and can't be changed, so it needed a softer color around them. It looks great in person.
