Awesome and timely video, just submitted to your company a request for info on Rousseau and Proslat cabinets. Funny I have been all over the internet for the last 2 weeks looking for two drawer cabinets that will fit under my workbench, was going to throw in the towel and go to HF and buy US General roll cabs and remove the wheels but landed on the Rousseau website today thanks to you and found a perfect fit drawer cabinet.

Can't wait to see this come together. I know it was mentioned a while ago but are there still plans for an outdoor wash area outside of one of those bay door openings? I believe you mentioned a car port style covering for an outside wash area setup. Keep up the great work everyone! I'll be ordering some more of the leather and pine fragrance spray here soon. That stuff is great!

I thought you were nuts for splitting up this space with an office in the middle. I am guessing you caught some inspiration from the Rag Company studio while working on that project. Opening up this space was the best decision and will offer greater opportunities in the future! Those sapphire blue cabinets look really nice. Does Rousseau offer floating walls like Sonic does, because that's what I'm seeing in the renderings?

Yes, Rousseau array won’t mount to the wall. It is a modular wall of cabinets.

Rousseau cabinets are made not far from where I live , its an incredible family owned buisness that has been running for decades. Never had issue with their stuff , at work we have sets of cabinets from 1981 and are still all original and sees abuse everyday.

Why the Rousseau over Sonic and Moduline? If I remember correctly when you were doing joint videos with Pan, you were comparing his cabinets, and came to the conclusion there were better alternatives?

got to the end of the video and answered my own question. So Rousseau is better fit and finish than moduline?

Moduline is skinned aluminum. They are really nice, but these are industrial quality with amazing fit and finish. They are similarly priced, but I like the utilitarian Rousseau more. I introduced Pan to Rousseau back in 2018 or 19.

Good thing you ripped out that ghetto drop ceiling..... They are a pain in the ass to deal with and they are rodent anglers magnets for some reason. It must be the Gypsum ceiling tiles that they like because there always in the drop ceilings I go up in alot.

Why ALWAYS slate gray tracks? The green undertones of that slate gray are kinda blah. The pearl gray is a much cleaner color. You never wanted switch it up?

The cree lighting aesthetic is its downfall. Unlike other product categories where realistically there are only a handful of manufacturers really competing to be the best (ie Rousseau and high end cabs), lighting is not one of them. It is a very competitive marketplace with immense options. If all you need to do is detail, work, and park then sure Cree, HE Williams, Phillips, or whoever you prefer is fine and utilitarian quality. But, the moment the garage becomes a space truly connected to the rest of the house and property (a mission you seem to be pursuing), the garages are as architecturally significant as the rest of the property. This is when the garage goes above and beyond. I’d take another pass at lighting: Focal Point, Bega, Lumenpulse, Vibia, Delta, Technical Architectural Lighting, DGA, MP, ERCO, Kreon, Tekna, and so many more. You also will need different lighting for different situations. Your space would greatly benefit from a suspended combination uplight Dow light linear. A high end garage with a purple GT3 and hard lid should get mud-in/trimless linear.
