Another brilliant play through with perfect pacing and theme storytelling. I prefer the way you communicate because of the way in which you give your reasoning while at the same time enhancing the game's theme. Almost any new game I try comes from one of your lists because I know if you like it, I most likely will. (Robinson Crusoe has a permanent table in my house where I'm at least playing a round or 2 per week). Thanks so much Shaggi!

Thank you for those compliments, Stephanie. I try to remind myself before filming to articulate my thought process and I do a better job of that on some videos than others. I sometimes get overly focused on the rules explanation side of things and forget to inject my strategy observations or personality. Hopefully the videos are somewhat consistent. This is currently my favorite game. My wife loves it, my daughter loves it, and I love playing it solo as well. Such an interesting combination of mechanics that you would never think would work together, but they form a delightful soup of thematic gameplay that is hard to turn down when someone asks to play. My wife and I even enjoyed the co-op mode and the estate mode. Have you played with the Upstairs/Downstairs expansion yet?

I played once with the upstairs/downstairs and I really liked it, but I also like the base game alone. Not sure yet, I need to play the expansion many more times to get a good feel. I plan to do a playthrough of the expansion at some point, because this is one of my favorite games as well. Finding a game that the whole family loves is always a great feeling! Sure thing! Those are Iron Clays from Roxley Games. I believe you can order them from their website and some online board game stores. I got mine during a Kickstarter campaign awhile back, so I'm not exactly sure where they sell them now. Good luck and thanks for watching!

Seems like your theme cards and VP cards are larger than the ones in the box... did you get those from somewhere?

Very nice video. Thanks for making it. Small thing: When you draw the second Retiring Room from the bag (very early in the game) shouldn't it go on top of the first identical tile and you draw another one? This is a very nice little puzzle game with card building and a cool theme :D It gets even better with the Upstairs - Downstairs expansion .

Great playthrough, thanks. Just come to this game as it was sold out in the UK for a while and had to wait for reprint. Excuse me for being a little pedantic but did I hear you say that used Staff aren't available for 2 turns? I think it is only one as they move back once at the start of your next turn so are available straight away after the 2nd turn.
