Its very much a case of vintage is best with this. The gold rimmed capped ones from the early days are deeper, richer and longer laating. Ive 2, one with a built in atomiser...very retro..one made in France and the other America

Bought a 100ml bottle of that one back in 06 when I was 21 and remember loving it and I guess overspraying it😂. Also bought Obsession Night a little bit later and loving that even more

I’m looking for the vintage formula of Obsession from eBay. So far I see the ppl. selling the vintage pointing out the light brown cap with the hood trim, printed CK cosmetics, made in the US and darker brown juice. Any other thins to look for when looking for the vintage formula bottles? The first Calvin Klein cologne called Calvin was a big hit also and now hard to find and very expensive. I don’t see to also love Chanel Antaeus, Jacomo and Lagerfield. I used to have the mini Obsession .05 fl. oz splash or 3 mini bottles and would just put two finger daps and that’s all i needed. Thev3 mini bottles lasted me like about 10 years and never got a regular size bottle until now until 35 years later.

Yep, I'll wear this one today. Knew a boy who wore this when we were teenagers. I found it totally captivating. Now I have an older mini bottle and find it really comforting to wear myself -- one spray feels perfectly feminine, although right at the beginning yeah it's a bit on the masculine side. Got the women's version too, since I wore the dupe body spray as a young kid, but this one I like better.

Reminds me of SNL "Compulsion" or "Red Flag" cologne adverts. I only have this, Reveal and One Shock butI think Obsession was CKs best attempt at perfumery.

I enjoyed the video! Obsession comes up a lot on my channel. I love getting the vintage bottles. I remember how it was a major event when a new fragrance was introduced. Now, it's seems like nothing special.

It took quite a while for you to mention this one. I wonder why, because these days this is quite a conspicuous scent. I'm also looking forward to see you talk about Joop Nightflight. Like Obsession it's a perfume that has to be reviewed on this channel.

I love this stuff even the current reformulation is good still strong though if you know Chad from AGentlemansJourney he also reviewed current Obsession and said the exact same thing.

Thank you! Great video! I am lucky enough to own an exceptionally, well preserved bottle of the original version with the gold band cap; the juice is very, dark bronze compared to the slightly yellow tinted modern release. The original smells absolutely beautiful...full, rich....masculine! Unfortunately, the latest version of OBSESSION smells like a chemical spill. 😢

The original batches had that wonderful chic and french lipsticky balminess about them too that just rounded out the blend. A lot of people couldn't appreciate the animalics, but I still love the fragrance. Only got to try the newest formulation once and it was a disappointment. Very much a shadow of its lascivious beginnings. But still an iconic perfume to be sure. 🧡🤎
