Obsessive Love // Single, Ready to Mingle (Part 2)

Pastor Vlad continued the second part of his series based on his book Single Ready to Mingle. He went into further to talk about the danger of obsessive love. How God wants us to have healthy relationships and to have true love for one another.

2 Samuel 13:1-2
Person who is obsessed with you will become possessive of you.
Person with Obsessive Love:
1. Can’t live without you
2. Demands unreasonable amounts of your time
3. Ignores other aspects of their own life to you
4. Shows jealously toward anything that competes for your attention
5. Checks up on you when you’re not together
6. Begins with intense emotions, flattery and attention but slowly turns into an unhealthy possessiveness of you
1. Prince will lose his pace if he becomes a prisoner of his passion. 1 Th.4:3-5
Animals are bodies without spirit - ruled by sexuality
Angels are spirit without bodies - don’t have sexuality
We are spirits with bodies - rule sexuality
2. You can’t control what gets passed on to you but you are responsible for what you activate. Judges 16:4-5
3. Submit your biology to theology. James 4:7;
4. Overthrow nature by the way of nurture. 1 Corinthians 15:33; 2 Timothy 2:22
Avoid fake friends with crazy advice.
Avoid pretending something you’re not.
Avoid avoiding community & mentorship.

This sermon is a blessings to every person. The area in life that I do not have control over with is my fear and insecurity when I started dating or in a relationship, I will constantly feeling fear when the person doesn't responded to my messages, or act differently. In my mind, I will feel that he is moving away. And in the end it will become a reality. Someone please pray for me in this area of my life. I'm still not able to overcome this.

I heard that we shouldn't just nail it to d cross but we should submit ourselves to d authority of Jesus to be washed with His blood & take the resurrection power of d cross to heal d wound fear brought forth. I had the similar problem .. don't worry it's easy to come out ... Have faith and keep god as your first priority and submit to the holy Spirit instead of your feelings .. and most importantly cut off the trigger points for the feelings ... Just know that you don't have to prove yourself to anyone . God already made us righteousness through Jesus Christ . .. if you are missing the relationship with holy Spirit and God . Then it is a toxic relationship... I felt it . I was struggling between feelings and gods word. But as pastor Vlad told it was obsession .. so I submitted to god .. and cut off the trigger point and that's it I'm back and more powerful. . declare through faith that God is our source for everything ! He will surely deliver .. god said I called , I will justify , I will also Glorify

Angels are spiritual beings, hence no sexual reproductive organs. But, they can either possess or turn into flesh. This is just my understanding, if you want to know more bring it up to God.

In 8:57 Pastor Vlad told that angels do not have sexuality. But at least some kind of angels do actually have one since in 1. moses 6; 2-4 the bible tells us "That the sons of God (which are angels) saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.".
