It’s interesting to see exactly how many of these items are still around. There’s quite a few. The packaging may have been updated, but they still exist.

My 22 year old daughter in law works at a vape/adult novelty shop that used to be a Quiznos back in my day. When I told her about it, she said, "I have no idea what that is." 1998 seemed like yesterday to me 😢

So, the digital alarm clock is obsolete ⁉️ Do you remember the ones that had each number on a little piece of plastic and went around the display window ⁉️🤣😆😅‼️
@dawnkindnesscountsmost5991 Жыл бұрын
Yep I do, my grandma had one. I remember spending the night at her house, and that flip-number alarm clock was next to the bed, with a soft light behind the numbers; the sound of the flipping lulled me to sleep.

I would tune in a good A.M. radio station at night when I set the alarm. In the morning, the signal was weak and I'd wake to a lot of static and hissing, lol

I still have my AIWA. The radio and the AUX function still work. She sort of keeps time. Her speakers and sound is just as good as day one. I’ll figure out how to turn her into a sound bar. Best 1994 Christmas gift ever.

6:57 Dairy Queen goes back farther than THAT. Back in the 60s my grandpa used to go get us a dozen Dilly Bars for a dollar. Back then they were only open from Memorial Day to Labor Day just like the swimming pools. I remember how upset he got when they dropped down to 8 for a dollar, than 6, then 4. By the time he was buying Dilly Bars for my daughter, they were a dollar EACH, and they had moved to a year-round store on the other end of town that you could actually sit down inside to eat.

#59 - the Dairy Queen take out stand -- the one in my area had a dine in area (no drive thru) but it did have a hitching rail and water trough out back so we could ride in, tie up our horses, get a treat, and then ride home. This was in the late 1970s/early 1980s. The store is still there, but the rail and trough are gone. The area is too filled in with stuff for folks to safely ride their horses to the store these days.
@beckycaughel7557 Жыл бұрын
Have to ask you where do you live that you were able to ride horses Dairy Queen I think that’s great
@fairygoth-mother7341 Жыл бұрын
@@beckycaughel7557 I'm in Colorado. The DQ is in Broomfield. We followed the railroad track right to the back of the store. Now, the tracks are fenced so you can't ride alongside them and the store removed the hitching rail and trough. It was a loooong time ago. I think the last time we went was in 1979 maybe 1980.

2:57 My dad designed and patented that style of waterbed frame back when waterbeds were just comming out. He sold the business (waterbed outlet) soon afterwards and included the patent along with the business for $2,000 dolars extra. If he had kept the patent he'd have been a millionare several times over.
