OC DISCUSSION: SHADESONG 【WARRIOR CATS SPEEDPAINT VOICEOVER】

Love to see a female villain actively choosing villainy for once. Warriors basically only has highly traumatized or sadistic/pure evil bad guys, but they're almost never women who are just... bad. She's also really pretty, and a well done lovers (or could have been) to enemies arc would be new, Warriors basically never delves into the feelings of evil cat's mates or friends.... ever. I do want to note that this sounds more like she's evil because she's a sociopath than just her being evil, and I want to express some concern at that idea? The last fight sounds like she's been repressing emotions, and that's a much cooler direction, to me, because I can't see why a cat who doesn't seem to feel emotions (strongly?) would turn against their clan, what kind of logic they would see in that, especially if it's not for power? Obviously I don't know what the inspiration/idea here is, but I was nervous that you'd say something about sociopathy based on how you were talking about her. This kind of poor representation is basically everywhere, and obviously the communities it affects tend to find this trope of being inherently evil or inhuman kinda messed up, from sociopathy to autism, etc etc, and I'd hate to see you play into that inadvertently. I do like her as a character though, the staring, the disinterest in relationships and even distance from family is all really refreshing in a Warriors OC, and I'd hate to scare you away from her, I'd just like to see her mentality explored.

I've definitely thought of how having her main thing be sociopathy kinda plays into stereotypes. I dont plan on exactly changing how she feels things (she definitely has emotions!! She just doesnt feel a whole lot), but I plan to give her more resentment. Maybe feelings of being shoved aside in favor of other warriors, her best friend Prideheart doing the same, etc etc. I also plan to have a character with similar mental issues to hers (sociopathy and hints of schizophrenia) that doesnt go the same path as her. I definitely dont mean to offend anybody who goes through those things and I hope that having a motivation like resentment for her, along with a character with sociopathic and/or schizophrenic traits helps that. But thank you for the criticism !! Always willing to take it

I've been thinking of what disorder would suit her a lot, and I think the closest that describes her is schizophrenia. A lot of the symptoms match with it!

Clip Studio Paint EX, but it's a bit pricey ^^' if you're looking for a free program, I recommend FireAlpaca!! I used it for a long while and I enjoyed it while I had it c:
