OC Transpo 6173: New Flyer D60LF Articulated Bus (Part 2 of 2)

OC Transpo has retired all 226 New Flyer D60LF articulated buses with Detroit Diesel Series 50 engine purchased between 2001-04 (numbered 6001 to 6100; 6102 to 6178; 6301 to 6350) and were replaced with brand new New Flyer D60LFR.
This is bus 6173, a 2002-03 New Flyer D60LF, on Route 96 Kanata.

Why were they retired so early?

Cuz most of the fleet was degrading and new flyer offered them a trade-in deal to get the new d60lfr

the dd series50 4 cylinder turbo charge was not a good match in a 60ft bus underpowered and over worked and the ac when turned at all stole most of the bus power for the transmition and drive wheels and had probles like fires in engine and breaks
