I remember the Nintendo Power strategy guide stating that the Shadow Temple was literally "built from the blood and bones" of those who died during the wars of Hyrule's past, and that the Shiekah used it as a place to interrogate/torture the enemies of the Royal family. As if the place wasn't creepy enough, but it adds an element of moral ambiguity to the story when you realize that the supposed 'good guys' aren't so squeaky-clean after all.

The scary thing is that this temple has nothing to do with Ganondorf. The royal family of Hyrule themselves built this temple to torture enemies. What's even scarier is the fact it's underneath Kakariko Village with little to no knowledge from the people who live in the village.
@UncleJun502 жыл бұрын
Bruh...
@MrMarkovka112 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say its directly underneath kakariko village. If you visualize the spatial orientation, the temple lies beneath the mountains that you see at the graveyard. Although the well is kinda a microcosm of the shadow temple, and it lies right beneath kakariko village. If nothing else, there's always that random hole you can blow up by the tree, which if you go inside, contains 2 redead monsters. And that's barely beneath the surface lol.
@anonymousandy27892 жыл бұрын
The fire temple was a royal prison. It made me question if Ganondorf was so evil when I saw the hell they had created, and the to free the race that was likely the guard staff locked in the cells. I hadn't thought much of it before, but the Shadow Temple entrance kinda reminds me of the entrance to the Black Warriors' lair in the arcade version of the first Double Dragon, especially since you warp to it in a part of the graveyard that's high up off the ground sorta like the cliff in Mission 3 and it's even dark and stormy similarly to how it's night in the forest in Mission 3; even the Shadow Temple entrance has a sliding door with a similar color to the one in DD (except the DD one slides horizontally). Not only that, but the names "Black Warriors", or, "Shadow Warriors" and Shadow Temple" are even fittingly similar.

Water Temple isn’t even that hard. Especially compared to the first two games or Links Awakening.

@@icegladiator7936Are you kidding me? Links Awakening and the first two Zelda’s are three of the most cryptic games ever. If you aren’t using a guide you will spend weeks if not months figuring out how to even progress or get to the next dungeon. It took me about a night to get through the water temple the first time. Just did it a few weeks ago. I had to look up a guide for one part which is for the key in the room that appears when the water rises in the middle tower. That’s literally the only confusing part.
@icegladiator7936 Жыл бұрын
@@OldBenKenobi2318 Idk how they were hard to you but they were pretty easy to play and figure out. The water temple is another story. Its like you focus to get a key but the key is hidden in a cutscene. Like when you raised the water to the second level, you wouldn't see the room underneath the floor
@OldBenKenobi2318 Жыл бұрын
@@icegladiator7936 Have you not played the first two games or Links Awakening? The first game you literally have to bomb random walls in the over world and in dungeons and you have to push random bushes and objects. It’s literally impossible to just figure it out using your brain. You just have to spend days bombing random stuff. In Zelda 2 you have to use spells in random places for dungeons to appear but no one ever tells you to use these spells in those places. Those three games are infamously cryptic to the point that if you don’t have a guide you will spend months playing the game. It’s not just me that thinks that lol. Yes the water temple has that one part but that’s one part compared to the hundreds of cryptic things in the other games. You obviously haven’t played any of those without a guide. Even if you had a guide you would still admit how cryptic and confusing those games are. That random hole with the key that you will only see through the cutscene is the only part I had to look up in the water temple.

26:07 It is NOT recommended to use jump attacks while fighting the 2 Stalfos on the boat despite the increased damage as one could fall off. As such, one should fight them without using this technique or, at the very least, keep them at bay (watching out for their own jump attacks) until the boat reaches the other side.
