That was soooo clean. And FINALLY someone who you can actually hear the kick well... I love your additions of the hi hat ride parts and open hi hat slushy parts in the verses. Brilliant.

it's so many years and this still remains to be one of my favorite drum covers. love the snare sound and the ride+hihat 16th pattern. great cover, high quality indeed as the title states, haha

DUDE!!! I'm really into the mini fill you put in when he says "staying up all night" with the ride and hi-hat! It's super dope!

Just finding this cover now. Really nice job! Especially liked the 16th note pattern with the ride and hi-hat. You handled the dynamics well too, and the fills in the choruses. Way to go! :)

Excellent drum cover. You killed it. Snare sounds great, what brand and size? Looks smaller than 14" to me..
@ImaginaryAsh9 жыл бұрын
Lee Toowey Hi. Thanks, it's a 13x7 Dw edge snare. They're really expensive snares. I actually sold it cause i found a cheaper snare that sounded better to me :)

Hey dude!!!!! First thing, that was awesome :) I really like this cover, this is how shit gets done. Second, could you P-L-E-A-S-E tell me how to play the big snare fill at 2:12? I've gotta learn that as soon as I can, as there isn't a single tab on the internet for it and I really wanna learn that one part so I can play the whole song. Thanks!!!!
@ImaginaryAsh9 жыл бұрын
Killian Deaton Hey :) Sure I'll do my best to explain. The snare roll is just single strokes with accents. When you play fast accents you should use the moeller technique as it's a great way to play fast with little effort. Skip to 33:25 in this video as the drummer shows a great exercise to develop the moeller technique. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gKK1loJrg7WBlck The roll is two bars long, play evenly spaced alternating singles. The accents are the capital letters, keep the other notes quiet. Eventually you'll be able to pick things like this up by ear rather than looking for tabs. I would write it out for yourself and put little accents signs like this ^ above the letters so it's clear.RlrL rlRl rLrl RlrL RlRl rLrl RlrL RLRL

Punk Drum Covers Thank you!!!! So I ususally can play by ear, this fill has driven me nuts because I can't pick everything out as easily as I can with anything else. Are the notes played as triplets or 16th notes? Once again, thanks dude
@ImaginaryAsh9 жыл бұрын
Killian Deaton No problem at all :) They're 16.th notes.

Nice job man! Is that a Tama StarClassic? That is what I play and my friend has one with that finish. So that is what makes me think that.
@ImaginaryAsh9 жыл бұрын
Peoples Mortgage Company Hi and thanks. It's a DW collector series kit. I think the finish is blue oyster. It's a classic finish, Ringo Starr had a similar finish on his kit which was a Ludwig. Must be a popular finish.

@ImaginaryAsh7 жыл бұрын
Jack Carter hey dude yes I have explained that fill in a previous comment. If you have a look below you will see somebody has asked that question and I gave a detailed answer so hopefully that helps you. They are accented singles played as 16th notes.
