This dangerous section of ocean between New Zealand and Fiji must be treated respectfully when choosing a weather window. Unfortunately our small safe window was upwind, which means a painfully slow course, extreme fast speeds over water, bashing into big waves and of course the yacht on it's side for 8 days! Come aboard on this episode and get a feel for what it is like heading offshore and living at sea.

You got a new subscriber here👋 just caught this vid by chance an what caught me off was when you mentioned the little bird an an man of faith...now I'm not like hard into religion or anything but I do hold a certain amount of faith. I've often caught myself out hunting or fishing wondering how some animal so small could live in such harsh places. I follow alot of sailors out here on KZbin an super happy I found your little family! Thanks for sharing, much love from the rocky coast of Maine, USA 💯❤

I liked the honesty in your story no hiding the hard parts of sailing you all just tell it as it is. I like how you all get into the details such as fueling , birds making tea with out ever being boring. I am looking forward to the diving. In a prior episoad to mentioned kite surfing and I am wondering if you all will be giving that a try? Stay Safe!!!!

I have a few theistic friends of faith that accept evolution is a thing and is a mechanism used by god. To them it is not a dichotomy of either one accepts god or evolution. And many have told me once they started to understand what evolution is and its immense complexities, it made their appreciation of the cosmos much more complete.
@imusuallycorrect
@imusuallycorrect 3 жыл бұрын
That’s convenient of them. Why isn’t evolution written in their book? Are they using the pick and choose method of religion? Hopefully they are keeping the advice on how to keep slaves.

@@imusuallycorrect Not all Christians are nutbar evangelicals with a strict and narrow interpretation. In fact a majority of Christians accept evolution in a theistic sense, and consider much of genisis and such to be metaphor.

When people throw up they are always unhappy. And I have come to realization why! That's because they've disrupted the basic cycle of happy life. And the first rule of a happy life is:"NEVER EAT ON AN EMPTY STOMACH!!!!" In other words if you want to keep being happy: 1. Don't throw up! 2. Make sure you eat something before you sit down to eat so you don't eat on an empty stomach! And that goes backward indefinetly. (That will also help youstay slim because the food you eat before you sat down to eat will fill your stomach so you won't have to eat so much!)😁 Sharks know that; that's why they keep eating all the time. And you've never seen a sad shark, have you!? LOL😂

Most likely the "little bird", if it looks like a swallow, is perhaps a wren and it was on a migratory flight and ? for whatever reason ? it is taking a breather to "catch it's breath". Perhaps it is not strong enough to make the journey and it will perish when it leaves your boat's rest, instinct may take over - OR it may be refreshed and complete its instinctual voyage thanks to your test stop. You can offer it water, perhaps some food but you may have nothing it is capable of eating. Sorry, but my brother has more experience than I and follows migratory patterns and such. I know, too much information! What brand of self steering is that?
