Thank you olomwaay and ghilisow Mr. Nainoa Thompson I am truly grateful that you've made it possible for all to attain this wisdom and knowledge as it was strictly only passed down family or clan members and for this reason this art would've been lost in a few years. Because of your great effort you have revived the culture of navigation in Saipan and we now have palúw courses instructed by either Cecilio or papa Mau son Ton im just happy to say again a great big mahalo, hafa adai and ghilisow to you🤙 sail on!

I came to know Nainoa Thompson's name 30 years ago, because of James Wharram, the English fellow who has done more than any other (to my knowledge) to learn about, share, and preserve the ideas of the ancient Pacific Double Hulled Voyaging Canoes.
