I hope it was helpful to break down that 1-5-8-9-10 pattern for your left hand. It's so dreamy when that pattern feels fluent and gentle, but it's no fun if you are falling off the strings. Now head over to the partner video and you can hear the small harp version, which I recorded at my favorite beach in Nova Scotia. Here's the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gou7onisfa2UeNE

I am so very impressed with the way you teach . Simple, slow, encouraging, and most of all beautiful arrangements. I can't thank you enough with sharing your arrangements with us and then helping all of us play them! Blessings from Ohio

Thanks so much for providing this lesson. It was beautifully explained and arranged. Your thoughtful attention to details and carefully describing each movement is so helpful! I thought the highlighted note names and numbers on the strings was a nice addition! Sometimes in instructional videos it is difficult, especially for a beginner, to discern what string is being played. Your musical creation, Ocean Stones is another beautiful piece.. As our world groans through so many challenges, I am so grateful for the incredible beauty that continues to flow through your creative imagination. Thank you for being such an amazing gift to the harp community!

Thanks Anne! What a wonderfully made, clearly taught, well-edited tutorial of your pretty song! Superimposing the note names over the location of the strings to be played was a fantastic idea which saves eyestrain and guesswork, helping viewers to keep up with the lesson instead of squinting and fumbling around. I would LOVE to see a "The Making of My Videos" video or series of videos showing how you do everything from filming and splicing to technical editing tricks like superimposing note names. It is a whole different set of skills than music-making, and you are so skillful at it it!

Thank you so much for noticing the little details! I do every aspect of these projects by myself... composing, notation, layout, web design and graphics, recording, filming, editing. One small project can easily take 20 hours of work. It would likely be quite shocking to see everything that needs to happen from start to finish. Thanks for taking the time to write a thoughtful comment!

Thank you for this lesson. I am trying out different things with my harp & you are so easy to follow. I am going to have to practice this more. My #2 finger tends to get in the way of my thumb when it is time to play my thumb. Any suggestions?
@annecrosbygaudetmusic
@annecrosbygaudetmusic 2 жыл бұрын
It sounds like your finger 2 may need to cross under lower on the string. Could that be it?
