Aww thank you! Do you have any trip suggestions around Florida? I’m running out of fun trip ideas that are around this length

Highly recommend it! And this is a beautiful time of year to do it. Water is lower and it’s a little cooler out. Thanks for watching

So jealous of your good speaking voice I can barely string 2 sentences together. Very nice!

Thanks 😊 but the editing makes it seem better than it is. I re-record a lot of stuff a second time to make it right. If you go back and watch my early videos it isnt as good. The ‘video voice’ is a skill I’ve come a short way with and have a long way to go. Thanks for watching!

I forgot to add, I live a couple miles down from the canal you shot when you left hog-land (slough).....sooooo many hogs in the preserve now, but have never had issues with them.

I would have been less wary if I wasn’t alone. It does feel quite vulnerable out there but as you saw I made it through unscathed :)

Awesome video. You killed it. I hiked OTL trail 1/20 -1/22 and the Corbett section was so tough with all that mud.
@jacobsladder3619 Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I think we hiked it the same weekend, I started on the Thursday though. Ya the mud was killer in some spots

Hi! Thanks for watching. I did it in January. January - March are the best times to hike the swamps if you want to not wade so deep

Great vid. I've been wanting to do the OTL. I have very little experience with figuring out how to stay on a trail (so I don't get lost) and filtering water. Any tips on how to get started? Should I join a group? PS I love Riverbed park!

There are many apps that use gps to tell you when you are on vs off trail. They have become ubiquitous to the point many people never learn how to read maps. I think it’s a good idea to use a map and then reference the gps to confirm decisions. Of course there are trail markers every 150 feet or so to tell you you’re still on trail. I don’t know of any hiking groups around here although there probably are if you go to the Jonathan Dickinson park office. They’re always having events. Maybe try a loop trail in jd first

How do people normally get back to their car?
@jacobsladder361910 ай бұрын
You could hire a taxi service or try to contact a Florida Trail trail angel. It’s a good drive and I don’t believe there’s public transport
