@@woofcaptain8212 Pretty much. Only optimizations. And after thorough vetting by the modding community a final modding and in-game API overhaul. Perhaps a rule set of what in-game APIs are allowed on the server, so you can have from really locked down RP servers, to crazy creative sandboxes.

@@salmon8488 I only built this one half scale. Working on a 1:1 version two for later. Which will be concept accurate. I built this shell a few years back with only a concept drawing of the exterior and just flushed out the interior when the water mod dropped. There's more info available now. So it's time to take a crack at the full scale.

Another reason why after seeing Dual Universe I went back to playing Space Engineers. Space Engineers is just in this own Dimension and no other game will be able to come close to it. Thanks to insane physics and the modding community. I've never played a game that it was impossible for me to get bored with. It's always something new to try out or build in this game. There is just no limits on what you can do. Sure the multiple player isn't perfect but if you're giving me a choice between a game where I can build or do anything vs playing games with 1000 of other players doing the exact same thing. Then i much rather play single player or play on a MP server with 20 people in a game where I can build anything that comes to mind or where there is no limit on what I can do

There is definitely crush depths now. With light armor it is around 300-400 meters. Light armor itself technically has air inside it so it gets damaged if you go too deep with any vehicle, even vehicles with no void spaces. (>1km I think?) The only thing the Water Mod still needs to fix is the water clipping inside the vehicle in closed off spaces. The trees still exist underwater too...

FUN FACT the HMS Unicorn was an Aircraft repaid ship and a Light aircraft carrier AND she escorted the Armored Aircraft Carrier Illustrious During the Second world war (she was MOSTLY beside illustrious during the war) and was Decommisioned 2 times and then sadly she was scraped 15 June 1959 :)

If you can harvest this water for oxygen/hydrogen instead of the ubiquitous ice, this would check off a major box for me. I always found it odd that the new HUD would indicate a warm environment in a desert, yet the entire lake is frozen. KSH should compensate this modder and add this in their next update. Edit: never mind. This was addressed at 11:40

I would love to see a uboat wolfpack verses convoy video. Use the torpedo mod (the one that killed the cool guy) as the uboat torps but have them be dumb fire. And have destroyers with downwards facing missile launchers as depth charges.

Technically when a force is applied to a rotor it could generate electricity, the problem is that the game doesn't calculate forces really well. That would mean a complete overhaul of game mechanics.

I was about to ask how the critter spawns worked with water. Seemed like it'd be silly to dive down and run into wolves. Also if it's possible to adjust the height level the water layer spawns in, though I may have missed if you mentioned it. This whole thing though has so many great implications. I hope it ends up a core part of the game. All refined and integrated... mmmm... I'm already imagining a start where a damaged zero-G only ship has plunged into atmosphere, and landed surprisingly intact in the depths of the ocean. THAT would be a survival start!

Have you tried Stormworks? I know this channel is more sci-fi and space game oriented but it's a block building game that does a pretty good job at ship physics, where you can create flood compartments and in the upcoming release (yay!) they are adding a feature that allows fire to spread throughout your ship/vehicle. the stuff you can build there is pretty amazing, rotor, pistons... no Clang though :/

Here is an idea for an Armco event, you can make s simple torpedo with a small oxygen tank, warhead, small battery and thruster; modify a plane to be able to carry and drop them, as well as other types of ordinance. Max out a server and find a really big ocean, have two carriers, with turrets having to be manually controlled. Split the server into two teams with a commander for each carrier or carrier fleets if you can push it that far. Then turn on the storm mod and have the two carriers having to send out planes to find each other then relay the information and have the commanders organize an attack, with that information of the enemy carrier location, while also confirming a return location with the pilots. The wining team is the one which sinks the enemy carrier first. And you can a easily expand on this and have different scenarios by simply switching up or adding more ships.
