The guy is a Music Artist. He went from a Screamo Band to this. Dubstep is on the other end of the end compared to screamo. He pulled it off and now hes a great dubstep maker. Thats what being a music artist is all about. It doesnt mater what, or where, all that maters is making music. Who cares about all the other crap. Do none you know why he actually quit singing?! its not ciggs, alcohol, the screams, or the broken nose (though the last two did add to the problem the real reason was causing). He was bulimic! All the stomach acid ate up his vocal cords! Add in the screams on top of that, and the broken nose causing for incorrect airflow and he could do vocals as well as he could, eventually not being able to at all

@AmandaShotgun2 even so, that wouldn't make him incapable of singing. It just means it might have hurt him to do so at that point. Also, we have no way of knowing how fast or slow his vocal chords actually recovered. Sure it can take years, but if you're particularly resilient it can only take a couple months. And polyps are growths on the vocal chords caused by reckless wear and tear. Once they are removed, the patient is typically fine. Kyo from Dir En Grey's had it done a bunch
