Been binge watching you for the past 2 days now just got into fishing & I live around the area, I just had a quick question what type of bait do you prefer for saltwater in general?

Thanks for watching man! Depending on what fish I’m targeting, but mainly what’s already native to the waters. Such as muscles &baby muscles, shrimp, ghost shrimp, blood worm or lug worms. Sand crabs here and there. I mostly take 1-3 baits when fishing since they don’t always bite on the same bait every time.

Just measuring for fun, it was for the croaker tournament. No size limit on these

What kind of fish hit around December?

It slows down slightly as the water gets colder, but you can still catch bait fish on occasion. Some fish from the surf on occasion. Halibut typically bite year round, but there are those peak times to look out for

@@saltafoya13 if fishing for bait, very small hooks or even sabiki rigs with small squid or mackerel bait/ For halibut, just whatever works best with the rig setup you’ll be using. They like white, pink, clear, sardine& shiny colors. & even live bait such as sardines & smelt
