I plan Jamaica this year for my bday but figured if I postpone till next year I’d be better off financially. I’d definitely want to come here this location. I plan all inclusive ocho rios. Solo traveler

they have a travel advisory at Jamica right now, you may be better off waiting for next year for an all-inclusive Ocho Rios trip, let me know how it goes for sure once you do.

Ocho Rios, the best place to ever be!! We have been there 10 years and ready for the 11th year. We have 2 very awesome Jamaican locals. 1 of which we share an apartment all year long. There is no shortage of fun there. ❤

its a nice port but it is closed right now, we will be on a cruise soon and the dock was damaged so no cruise ships are going to Ocho Rios right now that I know of

I live in Jamaica and cruise ships are still going but only 1 is available to dock at reynolds pier aka James bond pier the one that u guys were Docked

@48K_TJ great info, we were just at Montego Bay a couple days ago and a royal ship took up the bond dock that day , now it all makes sense, hopefully we can get back to Ocho soon, cheers

you cannot bring food, you can bring a total of 2 fifths on board but security will check the bottles until your disembarkation day

Hello :) I'll be travelling on a cruise ship to Montego Bay, (after flying in from the UK). I was wondering about the C5 immigration form. For the Trip Details section, where you have to put an address, did you just put the name of the cruise ship?

I think that should work as you would be staying on the ship during the trip

We didn't need to fill out any immigration forms getting off the cruise ship, we were just at Montego a few days ago, you just need your cruise card and a photo I'd, but we always take our passports when we go to other countries just in case

Is this all in the secured area? How safe did you feel? We are going in two weeks and received an advisory that it’s not safe to travel.

if you hug the beach and village its not too bad, just don't accept any free gifts or get in a car with anyone that is not booked through a travel site or the ship, I would recommend doing an excursion to the water falls or stick right next to the beach at Margaritaville area

Skip the cruise ships and visit the real Jamaica to truly appreciate the country, the people and the culture. Port Antonio, Treasure Beach, even Negril.

I agree that staying at a country allows you to experience the culture, cruise ships give you a sample of the place so you can decide if you want to stay on a longer trip, and I agree Treasure Beach is great as long as you can handle that much sun
