@@neerjasharma2756 Yes he may , after surrendering the passport he has. He should be aware that he will not be able to travel internationally till he gets Indian passport and gets visa .

Mr Patel getting Indian Citizenship has nothing to do with OCI. If you fufill the residency and other conditions of obtaining the citizenship you will get it.

In a nutshell there is no change in any manner, UNLESS you are in religious promotion, journalism and/or internship and/or job in foreign consulate. Which is applicable to very few people.
