Thanks a lot durga "real java is durga" i have a question. concat() method runs in run time and create a new heap object. what if i wrote my own retString() method to return literal "abc" for example return "abc"; does "abc" an heap object or SCP object?

Hello sir, I am assuming that, with this expression 'String s = new String("durga")', two objects is created, one object is created in Heap and second object is created in SCP. Also, with this expression 'String s = new String("durga")' I am assuming that, object which is created in Heap, is storing the address of that object which is created in SCP. Please let me know ASAP, if my assumption is right or not ?

No, second obect reference variable is not storing the address of copy of durga created in scp rather it is completely creating new durga object in heap area and reference assign to s2. I hope it clear to you, if not revert back.... Will continue discussion on this.

NO , because objects which are created at runtime is stored in heap memory only ,not in scp area. Thanks.
