It’s quite smooth actually! The only rough patch is a jolt going into the final helix!
@Scoaster864 жыл бұрын
@@trevormungeam I've heard many people say that S&S coasters (also the newer ones) are kinda rough and I also hear many people claim the opposite. I think it depends on many factors like for example the row you sit in and the design of the restraints. Unfortunately I never got to ride one of their rollercoasters even though I'd love to. S&S seems way underrated imo, their rollercoasters are always unique and have brought many innovations. Some of them may be a little unreliable and a little rough, but I'd definitely prefer a park in my reach to get a new S&S launch coaster instead of a perfectly smooth B&M inverter that doesn't have anything special going on
@trevormungeam4 жыл бұрын
Hartschaum their 4Ds definitely have some jolts to them but I found OCT Thrust smooth for the majority. I can’t speak on Bullet or Extreme Rusher

glad to see someone is building something other than forceless lame LSM launches still. LSM has crappy acceleration and requires short trains because of the way it works. It has to reverse the polarity of the magnets a specific time and place to move the trains which restricts the length. The only way to get around that is to do a catch car system like Vekoma did with Rock'n Rollercoaster/Xpress or to install the magnets on only a few of the cars on the train which means even slower acceleration.

So does this use a pneumatic cable launch system? Nice, because I thought such launch systems weren't being used for roller coasters much anymore. The last few I know of are Kingda Ka, Top Thrill Dragster, and iSpeed. Furthermore, the latest launched stratacoaster (even though, really, it's a gigacoaster) used LSMs in its launch. So it's nice to see this coaster is using a cable launch.

I've always wanted to try out an Intamin accelerator coaster and an S&S air thrust coaster to see how the hydraulic and compressed air launches feel. I haven't ridden either model yet :(

There's no comparison. Intamin is crazy the Air Launch is absolutely bonkers it feels like you're being shot out of a cannon.

The only difference is that intamin accelerators use LSM launches and have a longer track.
