Very interesting pattern. The texture is so well designed with the popcorns, thin rows and fat rows. Can't wait to try it. And thank you for taking the time to split it into chapters and clearly show the beginning and end of each row.

Yesterday I was having trouble with the extended sc front post. This morning in my mind I heard you say "Follow the video". So I Googled the Study of Possibilities to see if you had filmed it. Row 6 explained what I needed to know. (I call it a long sc.) Your textured projects are amazing.

I love all your designs but I'm obsessed with this one! I just finished mine yesterday and can't wait to start another with a different color scheme. I had hoped for your final video to finish the interior but was able to follow your written directions easily and finished it up! Gorgeous design and so much fun to make. @@TheCrochetCrowd The first octagon was so pretty, when I finished tying off all the spiders, I started the seven more yesterday. You were so right. Repeating the same row is so much easier. Already starting row 6 on the other seven, assembly line style. I've learned so much from you. Thank you. After 50 years of crochet, I finally have a teacher. I can break out from grannies and double crochet rows.

I did sub the colors a bit to go with the Mexicana theme of my yarn. I buy 6-8 of the red heart super saver so I can just keep doing projects that match. I cannot find a decent red heart super saver orange though.

In your stitch description in the written pattern, your extended sc has you yo before putting hook around post. which of course would be a dcfp.

I’m on week 4 of my 2nd Calming Comfort Afghan in Bumbleberry Caron Cakes (looks like it’ll take up to 8 cakes!) … I’ve been in a squares mood lately, how’d you know!? 😃😜… so I have 8 Rainbow Sprinkles cakes that needed a project; and found it! I won't know that answer through text message. Maybe just do another one and see yourself improving. Each time you make a motif, it will look more and more crisp. It's about practice.

I love your patterns, colors, and the ease of following your instructions. What is the finished size of the Octagon? If I wanted to add an additional row of octagons, how is that calculated?

It’s 15”. If you change the size the interior won’t work. I will leave that in your hands to rejig the pattern to make it work.

Yes, you can do that if you wish. This is not a square. It's octagon. This design is not available in a square.

Like when you knit you can pick it up and your tension is slightly different. How on earth do you keep them all the same size? Because this is the reason I never do granny square afghans/throws etc.

At about 30:30 in the video, you stated that you were going to place 6 single crochet, but it appeared that you placed double crochet instead. Which is correct? I'm guessing the double, not single.

Love this one very much !!! Can you see about a pattern called via jante joy ? The pattern by Martina BehmIt’s a scarf / poncho. It has a neck but it also has a shawl . it’s a knit pattern can it be changed into a crochet pattern ?? Just a thought. Thank you

You need to get to the same round count if you have skipped it. So you may need to place 2 stitches into the same stitch to boost the count up.

There is a right hand and a left hand. Same video but changed for whomever is right handed and left. If there is no left hand designation on the title, iit means it's right handed.
