All of your videos always inspire the hell out of me, more than any other octatrack videos I’ve seen. Hope you’re well and post more content soon :) big love

what a jam session, I like your precision and the balance between the artistically and technical decision ... I almost can follow in real time what you are doing ... getting more and more interested you are the channel I get most of artistically and technical... big thank you

... and I understand that limiting to the OT is a big win .. I can let go to integrate all my other stuff in the set up... I just sample what I want and concentrate on the core ide I have and make a track out of it... oh yes you teach me discipline

thanks a lot Bruno!! I like to try to see where the artistic sides and technical sides can support each other, and I also keep repeatedly learning similar lessons about making sure things stay streamlined and focused :D

Great techniques with clear explanations of your process. I have learned a lot from watching your channel. Thank you for sharing. I love the sampling and resampling capabilities of the octatrack. I don't use thru machines anymore, I prefer using a flex track with playback and record triggers on the first step. Advantages include easily set up rhythmic re-triggers (I like using fill conditions), pitching the sample down (using the fader!) and apply amplitude modulation fx such as trance gating or pumping using the LFO. It just requires a bit of extra setup but well worth it. The only downside is that the incoming audio requires the sequencer to be playing. I think it's a worthwhile trade off. Keep up the great work Max.

hey man!! thanks a lot!! a 'flex machines as thru machines' video is actually my very first legitimate OT tutorial :D one other downside to flex machine as thru machine is that you get a bit of a glitch/pop/discontinuity, although in most use-cases it won't be noticeable or problematic

thank you! Octatrack was designed from the ground up for resampling, once I realized that and started taking advantage of it I got a lot more mileage out of OT

If the shelving gain is at 0, turning the shelving frequeny knob has no effect. Anyway: love your octatrack videos!
