Again, I've got to say it's refreshing to see someone else in this space take the Octatrack into consideration when making hip-hop. Great job.

It means a lot coming from you John, I appreciate the love and support and the OT is definitely staying here. It’s been so fun learning it.

I see why you enjoy the Octatrack. Nice beat Malo and the functionality of the unit is definitely unique. Looking forward to your next Octatrack cook up.🔥

Hey brother, man, I’m so glad to see you here and also thank you so much for the feedback. I’m definitely gonna be putting out some more videos on this OT. This has been very fun to use.

Great job I’m in my first mouth with it, and it’s IMO an Sp on steroids, reminds me the 2K XL, with way more possibilities. Great job thks

Yo Malo! Love these vids. When comparing the MPC beats I always feel like the drums just hit harder; might be the sidechain, might be the sound. What's your take on the OT vs MPC sound? Any difference?

The thing that I would do to speed up workflow is get into trigger mode then set a grid then as I hit my samples I could adjust with the knobs on the fly as I made my sequences which was so much damn fun.

Oh damn I commented too soon before I finished the video. Glad you’re taking advantage of that.

Also to recap on your last point. I love Akai and other machines but I found with the octatrack I would create something completely different than I would on the MPC vs the octatrack. I also had a lot more fun mangling and chopping once I wrapped my head around the workflow

Great video! What has been your go-to source for learning the octatrack?
@malobeats Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much, Brian , I definitely had a crack open the manual and download it some PDFs from the website also KZbin and every now and then having to bug my good friend Ricky Tinez for some input.

@@malobeats nice excited for video I’ll skip the mini d but it sounds good but the air flavor pro I think is what the mpc was missing

Is there a monitor on off switch to hear your audio coming in
@malobeats Жыл бұрын
It’s such a great question and it took me a while to figure this one out myself lol but yes, there definitely is a switch to monitor your incoming audio.
