Great video, I've really only used my octatrack as a MIDI sequencer using pattern mode. I really need to dig deeper into it. Looking forward to more performance tips on this. :)

Did a lot of pause rewind but got down your points about using the arranger to have the tempo changes.. are you still using it in the same way? Thanks for making this
@LateNightBeatsOfficial6 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thanks for watching. Right now, I'm trying to stick to one tempo when performing, but if I wanted to have multiple tempos, that's the way I'd go about it!

I think you explain well, not too fast. I didn't see the time pass (which is a good thing) thanks for the OT tutorials

Thanks for the great video. I got one Problem with the Octatrack, maybe you can help me out? I got Track 1 and 2 with drumsamples and made a quick and dirty 1 bar pattern. Than i want to record this 2 Tracks on another Track so i have the first 2 Tracks free. I played around with the intern record source in the record setup but it doesn´t record the intern audio. Have you got a clue whats wrong?
@LateNightBeatsOfficial8 жыл бұрын
You probably need to use the master output: I'll check it out and will try and record a video about that :)

+HalutioN yeah that would be nice. Could you make where explain sets and pattern for a dummies.
@LateNightBeatsOfficial8 жыл бұрын
Sure, I just need to figure out how to put that into a coherent video :)

+HalutioN can you give me hint how to change samples. For example if i want to change for verse few samples and keep some of the samples same. I dont mean triglock method. I woudl like to use parts for that. I have tried to do it but when i change part2 samples it allso changes them in part2
@frostsloth8 жыл бұрын
Are you using new sample slots for the new samples or placing them in existing slots? If re-using existing slots you will overwrite the previous samples. New sample - New slot every time :)

Fantastic video thanks! Do you find that when writing tunes on the octa you organise them in a similar way? As in use just project and have each song occupying a different bank?
@LateNightBeatsOfficial8 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, I don't. I should, though, as it transferring different projects into one requires a Librarian like Rusty's OctaEdit.

Coooool. Thanks for this. I have a question for you: when i play a fake synth within the octatrack in chromatic mode that was created by shortening a sample and engaging loops, it quantizes my playing when i record it. I can play a bunch of notes in a certain way, and it records it like a robot.... Any ideas?

Been working on a few sets for live shows. Here is what I came up with today with bunch of gear: kzbin.info/www/bejne/np7Zl2yuZst0hKc

I love that you're using the A4 for drums: it is an amazing drum machine!

Thanks I agree and it was less than a Rytm and I needed CV for controlling modular synths which the Rytm lacks. I only wish it has more tracks available.
