I am so glad I found this page. It has been a lot trying to get a heart doctor to recognize this condition. I was told after having a heart attack at 56 yrs young that I had SCAD in 2020. I am still having heart pains. My cardiologist took me off the usual heart medicine, but the pain is unbearable sometimes. Today I had throbbing in my head on the right side. I didn’t know how common this condition was. I thought I was going crazy. Thank you for this.

I am living proof to the success of your SCAD awareness campaign. Just ten days out of surviving a heart attack due to SCAD. I’m receiving your treatment protocol by my local cardiologist. I had a SCAD in April 2022. As I write, it is 5 months later. I was prescribed Metropolol last week. I'd had chest pain more and more often for the prior 3 weeks. The chest pain has diminished extremely. Feeling much better. Thank you for your research. I'm 57, a vegan, had 4 kids, am under extreme stress, lost my Dad to cancer about a year and a half ago.
