So savvy of you to know that a coach would be beneficial! Education is never wasted and as a lifelong learner I know the benefits! Looking forward to seeing your time in Florida and also looking forward to my time In Lanzarote in November. So important to help the winter months go by.x

Good share Leila getting a coach definitely helps with accountability but do you think this big of a money at this stage in your business career is little bit expensive??

Do you have a certificate to be a financial coach ? I think you should have that because they are people who went to school for that.

People go to school to be CFPs or CPAs, not financial coaches.

I hope you can still go to Florida with the current hurricane situation.

I think the laundry will be more like $30. Coin laundry not cheap. You will have a lot of towels at the beach abd sandy clothes.

Genuinely curious - the budgeted amounts often exceed the income (for example on the business and personal side this month). I know everything always ends up working out and you are very conservative with your income estimates. Wouldn't it make sense to increase the expected income so you don't end up with such a large budgeted deficit when you are already expecting more?

I wouldn't want to increase the expected income because then what if it's lower? Lol It doesn't bother me for it to be negative. If I don't have enough coming in I would pull from my savings so that would cover any "negative." However, going forward I'm hoping to start budgeting based on a set amount in my checking account!

Why not put the costs for your foster dog under Donation? For me that‘s a „mindset“ thing. Because she isn’t your dog so it basically is a Donation. Which would show that you are still donating. And you wouldn’t have to bump up your costs for your dogs and go „over budget“ there 😊

I was doing that at first but I guess I didn't like that it wasn't an actual donation to a non-profit!

I’ve had a Wells Fargo savings and it doesn’t pay anything, so I started a second account with Marcus and that’s been making more with a 4.25. Should I just close the WF and move that money to Marcus and have two accounts in Marcus?

Yes do it ! Major banks don't pay crap

Honestly I rather just keep it all in one bank. Taking into account inflation & the gains owed, 4% is nothing

i would suggest not closing wells fargo completely and keeping at least some money in there… marcus doesn’t have a physical location so you cannot withdraw from it unless you transfer to your main account which takes a few business days… so having some money that’s easily accessible would be a good idea (in my opinion)

Sorry for late response. But yes! I had a savings with Bank of America years ago and closed that and moved everything to Marcus. I still have my main checking account with BoA

Hi leila hope you're well. Can i use your spreadsheet in a different currency? I'd love to use it to budget my money monthly but i don't use the dollar because of the country I'm in and how do i change the currency on the spreadsheet? Thanks.

Hi Tasha, yes of course! I can make a video on this soon, but you'll need to highlight any cells where currency should be>Select Format (top menu)>Number>Custom Currency (toward the bottom). From there you can search your currency! Hope that helps!
