Hanging Rock is an amazing volcanic remnant near Melbourne Australia. It has deep cultural significance for the Wurundjeri people who are the traditional owners and is a favourite destination for picnics and concerts. Bruce Beresford made a wonderful film from the book which is available on Apple TV. Perfect viewing for the spooky season and you'll never hear the name 'Miranda' in quite the same way ever again. 🙋🏼♀💛

Thank you for the info Deirdre! I plan on looking up the movie to watch. Now I'm intrigued to hear "Miranda" spoken! 😄

I really enjoyed listening to this, Terri! I just bought a copy of The Witch of Blackbird Pond in October. I thought I might get to it in October too, but time got away from me. I only read 3 books in October-my reading has slowed down lately, but it seems to be picking up again thankfully. But anywho-I’m similar to you about The Witch in Blackbird Pond. I’ve had it on my radar to read for a while-I actually think it was Kate Howe talking about it that made me put it on my TBR but I had heard of it since I was a kid. I read Kilvert’s Diary for Victober-another Kate recommendation. It was fine, but it got tedious in parts. I read The Searcher by Tana French to get in a mystery and I really enjoyed it. It was set in Ireland in the fall so it was the right time to read it. I want to read the sequel-which is set in the summer-next year hopefully. I like to try to read at least one mystery in October and now I read at least one in December for cloak and dagger Christmas too. Not sure if they’re going to do CDC this year though, but I’ll probably still read a mystery in December.
