October 26 2013 Pumpkin Fest open house.

Video from the October 26, 2013 Phillipsburg Railroad Historians Pumpkin Fest open house. We operate in conjunction with the Town of Phillipsburg NJ annual event in Shappell Park.
Engine 1502 had just been put back in operation and 1503 had not yet been removed for maintenance. With 2 engines running that year we were better able to handle the crowds that this event generates. This video was posted previously but I think I might have deleted it in error when I was cleaning up some older files.

Fantastic! Where can a guy learn more about the inner workings of these locomotives? They sound very realistic. Also, what ever happened to the Becker Steam loco?

I know this comment is 2 years old, lol, but if it's still of interest, 1502 has a 4-cylinder Continental Model F 4160, 1503 has a 4-cylinder Wisconsin engine, both gasoline. Both locomotives have air operated throttle and reverse and independent and automatic air brakes. They really are masterpieces of design, and can even M-U with each other. 1502 was built in the late 30's (but reengined in 1958); 1503 was built in 1959. As to the steam loco, it was donated to the Henry Ford Museum in 1975, and subsequently sold into private ownership.

@@humblepinecone Wow, thank you for this information! Very interesting design, very cool history. I now own a Miniature Train Co G16 and train set (in need of restoration). Do you happen to know the where-abouts of the Steam engine at this time?
