Lovely show! Thank you! Anyone worried about the moon needs to just put a few minutes into learning about it. KZbin it, Google it, whatever you need to do. The moon rises and sets every day, just like the sun, in the east and west. However, the time of the moon's rise and set changes throughout the month. This is because the moon's orbit causes it to move 12-13 degrees east each day, which means the Earth needs to rotate a little longer to bring the moon into view. This results in moonrise being about 50 minutes later each day. The moon spends about 12 hours above the horizon at any given location, with 6 hours rising and 6 hours setting. The moon's phases repeat once a month, every 29.5 days.

I would think she would know this! What kind of "medium" doesn't know the phases of the moon? The effect of the moon? The fact that the moon can be seen during the day? This is my first time I watched her. Didn't finish the video after the comment about the moon not being there for the "first time"!! The moon "disappears" at least twice a monthly cycle! Good grief! She should look at the Farmer's Almanac to see the calendar of the moon cycle each day. How does one get to be her age and not know this?
