Thank you! It's looking so pretty this time of year. 🍂🍁🥰

I like the leaf structure of the Montauk Daisy. Typically I see Shasta or Alaska daisies here in RI. In my garden the flowers turn brown so fast so I ripped them out. Dahlias are my weakness! It is so fun this time of year to see the varieties in show, when other perennials and annuals are winding down. I’m still waiting for impatiens to generate seedpods but have started to collect vinca. 🌻

Yes - the leaf structure of the Montauk Daisy is definitely very cool! I love Dahlias also! I wasn't as good at deadheading them as I was last year, so I didn't enjoy the blooms as much. Next year I'll be better at it. I hope you can get some impatiens seeds soon. That's great though that you've been able to collect some vinca seeds! 😊💐

Thank you for sharing! So beautiful! I also have a pond w/waterfall. I haven’t quite mastered covering it like you did. I’m expanding it this fall and will get flag stones to hide the waterfall like you!❤

I had good luck propagating tip cutting from the double impatients I had bought. I rooted the cuttings in soil lastsummer

That's wonderful! I wish double impatiens created seeds that I could easily collect. I may just have to buy some double impatiens next year so that I can also propagate them from cuttings. Thanks for the tip! 😊🌺

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful garden as well as your expertise with us! I can't wait to grow impatiens from seeds next year, Do you know what kind/variety of impatiens you have been growing from seed?
@budgetgardeningvitaАй бұрын
You're very welcome! 😊 I like to grow Beacon impatiens. I can very easily collect seeds from those plants.

Your yard still looks very nice, I had a big pot of petunias. Pot felt heavy leaves all drooping. 3 weeks ago I fertilized them it rained overnight omg they look like spring. I'm letting my potted Amaryllis dry out naturally been pulling them in before it rains. I'm going to let them stay potted in the unheated garage. The tray of seedlings survived last winter. Hope they don't wake up early

That's wonderful about your petunias! They must look so wonderful this time of year! Great idea about your Amaryllis. Fingers crossed about your seedlings. Next week I'll begin bringing tender plants into the garage for the winter. I have quite a few plants so I like to start that process early. Our nighttime temps will be in the high 30s F starting next week. 😊🍂

@@budgetgardeningvita we have been in 50 and a few 60s. Big heat wave west looks like we will get some of it. Long range forecast maybe snow by the end of October. That can change. My tropical hibiscus is full of buds.

Oh wow. Snow already? Ugh! I bought a tropical hibiscus on clearance recently that I'm going to try and overwinter in my garage. Fingers crossed. 🤞🏼

Very nice! 1:06 what variety of mum is that, it looks like a spreader, not clumping in a mound.
@budgetgardeningvitaАй бұрын
Thank you! 😊 Unfortunately I do not know the variety of the yellow mum. You are correct in that it does not clump in a mound. I got a few small pieces of that yellow mum just after my mother-in-law passed away from her home so I don't know what kind it is. It's awfully pretty though and I'm hoping to prune it 2-3 times next year to see if I can get it to not flop so much. 🌻
