That's awesome. From your scalar factor, I developed a relation. IF two figures are similar, then: Let A and B be two similar figures. Length (A)/ Length(B) = Breadth (A)/Breadth(B) = Perimeter(A)/Perimeter(B) = √Area (A) / √ Area (B) = k ( scale factor), with this relation, this type of question becomes a piece of cake.

Ok, Consider, 50 is increased by 10%. We do: 10% of 50 = 5 And add it to the original 50, so the resulting sum becomes 55. We can bake this in a single equation: 50 + 10% of 50 = 50 or, (1 + 10%) = 50 or, 50 (1 + 10%) or 50 (100+10)% = 50 or (1 + 10%) of 50 or (100+10)% of 50 = 50 Yeah, we derived a formula.
