I just finished reading The Raven Boys (loved it, thinking about picking up the second book tomorrow but I told myself I was on a book buying ban so I'll see...) and am planning on reading Into The Water, The Golden House, One of Us Is Lying, A Darker Shade of Magic, Scarlet, Murder on the Orient Express, We Were Liars, The Underground Railroad and Ready Player One, I can't wait to get to all of them !! 😊

Hey Jesse! If you're trying to get more into middle-grade, I recommend Lawless by Jeffrey Salane. It's about this girl, M Freeman (I wish her name was Morgan). She's been homeschooled all her life but then she suddenly gets into this weird private school called Lawless and it turns out that all the things she's learned were meant to turn her to a life of crime. So she and the other students are learning to be criminals at Lawless and M definitely faces some obstacles along the way. It's really interesting and morally ambiguous at some points. The ending was very shocking for me and it seems like something you'll love. I read it a few years back and now it's a series so if you ever pick it up, I hope you enjoy it.

I might try to read "The Ship of the Dead" this month, but I already have so many books I want to read! :( I've already preordered it, and am actually going to the book event in Raleigh, so that's a plus. Eoin Colfer's new graphic novel Illegal is coming out in the beginning of October (October 5th, I believe). It's about a refugee trying to reconnect with his sister. I think you would enjoy, even though it probably doesn't have spooky October vibes to it.

Well I just rented quite a few books from the library recently, for novels they are The Last Time We Say Goodbye by Cynthia Hand, Dead to You by Lisa McMann, Carrie by Stephen King and for the comics I got 300 by Frank Miller (which I just read) and Watchmen by Alan Moore and speaking of manga, I did get the first volumes of each Attack in Titan, Death Note and the one mentioned in this video, Tokyo Ghoul

It's definitely one of my favorite reads of this year, and I don't even like Shakespeare that much (the school they're at has a thing for Shakespeare, it's basically the only thing they read/put in play)

The animes first season is fab, but the second one left the manga and went terribly. It just didn't invest into the character development as much as the rest of the manga did, so you don't feel as wrecked with season two's ending. If you're into dark contemporary fantasy with a lot of psychological elements and morally grey situations, then you'll love tokyo ghoul.

Jesse I would be careful on what you are saying about Tokyo Ghoul as of right now😄😄😄. If you finished with TG in the future I highly recommend that you read Tokyo Ghoul: re which is still on going and it's extremely and I mean extremely messed up and dark but has an amazing plot. P.s if you want some good reviews on Tokyo Ghoul I recommend checking out Chibi Review. He's amazing on reviewing TG and other anime/manga

Omg!! I can't believe I forgot about Magnus Chase and the ship of the dead! that's a fourth book I want to read this month! This month I'm going to finish Geekerella which I am loving! And I was to read Wonder Woman Warbringer and I was to finally read all of Dracula, I think I read parts of it from a text book in high school, but every Halloween I want to read it and I never do so I hope I will this month.
