Jaby u have got this one wrong!! He never was attracted towards her ..she was...he didn't knew that...when she met with an accident the first name she took was his which baffled him..which is why u heard him saying "why she took my name" in the trailer..and then eventually he falls in love with her i guess while taking care of her...( These were my thoughts on the trailer)

AVI SHARMA couldn't agree more. The fact that movies like Dhrisyam and padman didn't perform well at box office and movies like Prem Ratan dhan payo,dilwale etc earned more than 100-200 crores is reason enough for the producers,directors and actors to not indulge in such movies

It is opposite to what you have understood. The actress was the one who asked for 'Dan', most probably after the accident. That is why the small scene on the bike, where Dan is asking one of her friends, "did she ever talk to you about me in college?" to which the friend replied, "she is not interested in you" and he replies back, "then why did she ask for me?" Dan, himself, is trying to figure out the girl's interest in him.

You got it wrong..it was the girl who was maybe having feelings for him but never told anyone nd that's why Varun was asking her friend if she had ever talked abt him..some accident happened with her nd she asked about Dan(Varun) nd that's why he was so confused that why she took his name out of anyone else's...u should watch this one nd also watch Piku directed by Shoojit..he is a great director and gets a simppe story to a different level(in good way)..

I understood it as the person I am. Like I would have gone any distance to just help her or be beside her just cause of the fact that she asked about me at a time like that. like when she was sorta dying or something. I don't know if ya'll know that feel, but it would be this strange feeling of obligation towards her. I would have gone to the moon and back. And it's only normal for any person to start to feel for them eventually. Because you are vulnerable, they're vulnerable. It's the easiest way to fall in this love trap.

I watched this movie yesterday only and loved it. It has become one of my favorite movies. Varun Dhawan is such a talented actor he should do more such movies. People just want to watch fake stories full of over acting thats why such movies don't become a hit. I think Varun Dhawan must be such genuine and nice guy in real life too.

This is the 10th movie of Varun Dhawan and 10th Hit in his career. Varun really proved his acting in this film after Badlapur, I’m glad that he choosing different type of roles and different script rather than choosing typical movies like Judwaa 2, Dishoom and Dilwale. This is her second serious film after Badlapur, to be honest, it seems like the concept and the subject of the film is interesting and something that we have never seen before. As in this trailer said it is not a love story, it’s a story about love. It’s not a typical romantic film. It’s a serious romance film but the story is more about journey of Varun and Banita’s character.

The most unique element of the story is that the guy isn't even friends with her, though the girl was a little attracted to him and then just after randomly asking people "where is Dan" she meets with an awful accident. Dan is already quite concerned and this draws in him even more into the struggles of Shiuli's family. He has no special bond with the girl yet the dedication and empathy he displays and the innocent way they both love each other is incomparable!

After watching it for 3 times my brain went it dark path.... What if this trailer is lying to us all along but true at one part '' its not a love story'' What if Varun commit a crime and she saw him and then he try to kill her or abuse her or something mudery But failed and she survives and when she wake up she only Remember him as he was last person she saw and the person who tries to kill her but as she couldn't connect dots due to her memory lose So he try to win everyone around so he can get chance to kill her again. Thats why he stay around her so if she remember something then he can shut her up. Damn my mind is to dark😐😐😐😐

It's actually the other way around... Spoiler alert: He is not interested in the girl at all and isn't even really friends with her even though they work at the same place and studied together.. However she meets with an accident (falls of the roof) during a rooftop part and just before she falls down, she asks where Dan (Varun Dhawan) was because she didn't see him at the party.. People inform him that she was asking about him before she fell and he becomes obsessed to find why she was asking about him right before she fell .. this leads to him constantly visiting her at the hospital and gradually getting more attached to her .. atleast that's what I remember

Just saw this movie.....you will not believe the story flows like a river...and it's touching in many ways...ofcourse it's not a love story...but this is about touching lives not doing transactions with people as they come and go in your life....oftenly we forget that and take everyone who comes into our life as granted or take that person serious for the time being they are routinely attached with us...it is basic phenomenon everywhere but to take out time and efforts for somebody and offer a slice of your soul to them without expecting anything in exchange, that's real love....i was truly touched by this movie, as it was not story telling it was souls journey throughout the difficulties.....💖💖💖💖

Varun’s movies are always hits, super hits and blockbusters except Dishoom did an average business at the box office. He is the only one actor that he doesn’t have any single flop in his career. He has got hits and superhits films in India but all his movies are blockbusters in overseas and worldwide. After October, he is doing Sui Dhaaga with Anushka Sharma, releasing this September. But there is a rumour that Varun, Salman, Katrina, Jacqueline is doing ABCD 3 but we are waiting for the official announcement. It's a Shoojit Sircar movie. Unlike other film makers, He doesn't make any mainstream bollywood films. After watching the trailer with Jaby, you must be aware of the fact that it's not a love story, it's about love.
