I agree with you on reasons for DNFing a book. I have some things I do not compromise on and also if I don't care about what is happening, I will stop in the middle of a chapter, page, or even sentence. As I get older, I'm finding that I put up with a lot less in books. Too many good books out there to waste time ☺

Them's the breaks. haha! I'm already thinking about DNFing the book I'm currently reading, "Boneshaker." It's like an epidemic of DNFing!!!!
