Octopath CotC: Sacred Blaze Continued: Rage Pulling Until Pity (16 multis)

Late watching this. I know how it feels being hated by this banner. Since Odette I spent around 1.8k rubies on this banner (Lianna, Tithi, Dorothea and Zenia). Only in this one i got two copies of Dorothea (The last I wanted this time). Basically 300 pulls adding all SB banners and only 2 copies of Dorothea (not even a 4.5*). This banner is a trash. I Will only pull again if I have for Pity. And will be Ditraina. I have Roland so Leon can wait.

Yeah, I feel this so much. Such horrible rates and it's only this banner specifically that's so unforgiving for some reason... on the memory traveler banners, I spent 400 on Richard, 300 on Krauser, 100 on Alaune, 4200 on Rondo, 100 on Rinyuu, so that's 5100 rubies. I got all the MT units except Alaune, and like 10 or 11 regular 5* from those 5100 rubies. Meanwhile I spent a grand total of 12000(!) rubies on the sacred blaze to get zero Odette, one Titi, three Dorothea and Lianna, and two Zenia. And like, five random 5* over all of those pulls (more than twice as many pulls as I did on the MT!). It's truly ridiculous tbh. Sorry your luck is just as bad. Not getting Titi/Lianna/Zenia after all of those pulls is really rough :( I'm gonna be sad to skip Leon, he was an OT1 favorite of mine, but I'll also be skipping him until Ditraina at least. Thankfully my merchant roster is very stacked so I can live without him.

@@BruniPlaysOctopath Yes. I think I will start uploading my pulls for being the unluckiest account 😂. On MT the only I have is Rinyuu (At least I got other 5* but no lucky getting the features). In one year I only have two "glory moments". Pulling Auguste, Tytos and Herminia in the same 5th Multi and getting Roland and Frederica with 1.8k rubies. That's all.

@@felo507ythope you'll get some crazy luck soon! On the Bargello banner maybe, or whichever you're gonna pull for next! Jealous of your tyrant pulls btw. I did three paid steps (I never do that) and got none of them. Still sad, I really would have liked Herminia or Tytos :(

At 4% for a 5* there is a 66.4% chance of having an empty ten-pull. 2 out of 3 times it “should” happen. Over 20 ten-pulls you “should” get 13 or 14 empties. You were right on. Your misfortune came from also not getting multiple 5*s on any of the ten-pulls. Best approach to the Sacred Blaze banners is to always be prepared to go to pity, and if you get lucky early, dip out unless you’re close and want to use the pity for someone else. Which is essentially what ended up happening for you here. You got Zenaida a1 and got your Odette. I have not pulled on a Sacred Blaze since 130 pulls got me a 4.5* Odette on the very first one. I was planning to do 6000 on Leon and hopefully get a few others along the way while using pity for someone I didn’t get, but Rolland and Frederica happened so idk if I can save enough for everyone on the horizon.

Well that makes me feel a bit less bad about it haha. But it's still really depressing considering I threw 6k at this thing while other people are getting the exact units I wanted in one or two pulls. Painful tbh. It's truly the worst banner in the game, I'm so happy I won't have to touch it for a long time now 🥹 I have all the other merchants so I'm skipping Leon until Ditraina or possibly Nivelle, like I said, I'm done with this banner, full focus back on the MT now. I guess it does even out eventually, I got Roland and Frederica in 1400 rubies and now this disaster on the SB. I got Richard in two pulls and Krauser in one, but for Rondo I had to go to pity. It sucks but I guess in the end it sorta evens out...

I mean, yeah it could be worse, but I never have this many empty pulls. My results are usually more like 6-7 5* in 100 pulls, so this was a really tough one to swallow :') it's a 3,5% rate which is lower than the actual stated 5* rate, so it's definitely not lucky.

If it helps, I'm pretty much the only person I've seen who had results this bad lmao. Everyone else I've seen on YT and reddit all got way more 5* and got Zenia in only a few pulls. This banner just has a grudge against me personally I think, should be fine for others 🫠

I decided to pull just a little bit since the only one im saving for is elltrix and she will take a while to come out, i already had the 6k rubies for her so decided to do a couple of pulls and got Alfyn A2, Hasumi A1 and Odette all in the forth multi, pretty lucky!

I was honestly hoping for Odette and wasn't going to pitty or anything, but I got Zegna twice and the sacred blaze merchant as well so I would call it a good day :)

Man, I've been playing since launch and I've never had three 5* in one multi, that's insanely lucky, you should probably buy a lottery ticket at that point haha. Congrats!

I could really feel that rage, swatting away the 4 stars before the 150th pull. Still pretty good run overall! A much deserved closure on finally acquiring Odette! She's the best! My favourite scholar, ever since her debut!

I was just sitting here like "Laura, Cless, Ramona, I swear if I see you guys ONE MORE TIME-" 😭 super glad it's out of the way tbh, I won't have to touch this thing for a long time now. Very happy with my Odette, she finally took her rightful place in my general purpose team :-)

3900 burned for nothing actually 🥲 13 empty pulls x 300 rubies, pretty painful. I've since learned there's people who had worse results when going to 6k pities so I'm a little less salty now, but still.

Ouch, that was very painful. Sacred banner doesn't like you at all. But on the bright side, you get your odette and won't touch this banner again ( well until ditraina to pity leon...maybe?) And getting zenia A1 is helpful. Now girl, eyes on the prize alright hehe. I'll try to resist pulling and wait for the tavern talk to see when we gonna get rinyuu and decide after it if I'm going to pull or not.

Yeah, this is very similar to my experience with the previous SBs too :( on Odette's own banner I got 60 pulls of only 4*, on Titi's I did 100 and only got three 5*. So many empty multis it's incredibly disheartening. I'm so relieved I'm done with this dumb banner for the foreseeable future, it's a pity (haha) about Rinyuu but I'll take it for what I got. Bargello and Elrica are still secured, that's the important part. I'm suspecting we'll get Levina the upcoming week and Rinyuu after that, so right when the SB ends. The MTs are definitely a smarter choice overall, much better units in that pool. Good call on waiting for the TT though, better to make an informed decision than doing what I did haha.
