Ouch, you didn't let him play at all. Fitting, given that's his strategy versus you. My first fight, I spent a while setting up eternal buffs and rehabilitates(the 1st phase rain damage was only 50 in the patch I played), only for him to use a party-wide dispel move when he changed phase and get rid of everything. As long as you have momentum going into the phase change, he's not bad. Sure you only have like 7 turns to live but you can kill him far faster than that.

Dear god... And he's hard enough as it is if you aren't prepared. The rain's buff in this mod makes him a nightmare. Definitely got to be prepared and throw everything at him as fast as possible lest you eat the rain's poison and die horribly.

I came here to see how other people did this fight after I spent 2 hours on it lol. My assumption of just do more damage was correct lol. To be fair I'm using new dawn on a first time blind playthrough and my strategy was far more defense oriented and then using Hikari to deal like 110k damage in the break phases. I need to explore and experiment more because I didnt even know some of these classes existed lmao.

Most of the advanced jobs are found in high level areas with one being locked behind a story's completion, so your missing some of them is to be expected. I think it's neat that you've been playing the mod on a first time blind playthrough; I hope it's been a blast for you.

This fight was HARD. I made the mistake of using Thronè.. Her low HP made it a drag.
