I didnt care much for her theme at first but ive come to appreciate how fitting it is for her as a character. It gives off vibes of both her desperation to finally leave the snakes and vengeance against everyone who had a hand in making her the killer she had become.

The fact that her very birth started in chains is horrifying, along with her journey as a whole also being a planned destiny, but apon killing her birth father could she truely break the chains.

Cassti: Has her dead friend guide her. Osvald: Wife murdered and turned into a monster, daughter kidnapped and almost sacrificed for good Temenos: Good friends killed by a corrupted member of same order Hikari: Tries to save a kingdom driven mad by power Agnea: Honestly her story isnt that dark and depressing Partitio: Becomes rich with the power of friendship Throne: Murders her entire family to be free from it. I dunno man. Of all of em, Throne's story is just so messed up. Imagine having your entire existence meant to replace a person who's main goal was to create a bunch of kids, have them slaughter each other and have the last man standing serve as a vessel for Vide. the parent killing motiff is what makes throné's story awesome imo. it really captures how family bonds can be the darkest thing in the world and the quest to become free and end abuse by commiting what's widely considered to be the worst crime of all

father not being her father, and her true mother (marietta) not being the obvious good woman among snakes but turning out to be rotten like the rest of them, were incredible plot twists, too.

@@AlphaPHK Ochette's story was so grim and sad, too, underneath her cuteness. One of the three Guardians was killed. Another one's eggs were destroyed, driving her mad with grief. And then whichever companion you DIDN'T pick for Ochette goes on to be captured and tortured/experimented on for who knows how long, becoming an anguished monstrosity driven mad by the pain and hatred they experienced, and you have to basically mercy kill them... at least their final moments are spent in the company of someone who cares for them, but still.

SPOILER . . . . So can anyone explain what Lostseed is? Is Claude really impregnate thousands of women to make a whole town filled with dysfunctional people? Or this town is the fallen kingdom lead by D'Arqest and Claude just use this as his base of operations?
@duonggdat9 ай бұрын
Considering Trousseau and Castti visited Lostseed and at that time Claude corrupted Trousseau, I reckon it was a kingdom but is slowly falling down. Then Claude received D’arquest's accursed blood to become immortal and made it a base for his plot.
@tntdragon1098 ай бұрын
The Tale of Lostseed that the gondola guide tells you about a prince and princess of enemy kingdoms falling in love, in which their love causes a way, and they flee to a valley with their loyal retainers, creating Lostseed, are likely Claude's parents. D'arqest was the grandfather of Claude, and while Claude was in the womb, he imbued him with the blood of Vide, which made him immortal. D'arqest likely wasn't the king of either the prince's or the princess' kingdom, (as he's an evil archmage) but rather impregnated the queen of one of the sides (likely without consent or without the king or queen even knowing). Those prince and princess kingdoms were Fj'all and Delstach, (kingdoms referenced in Masoud's Mercantile Manuscript from Partitio's Scent of Commerce) with the Great Wall (outside of what would be now Stormhail) between them. Fj'all eventually fell and became Stormhail and Delstach became New Delsta (you can see the ruins of Delstach north of New Delsta in the open plains region) The giant hole in the Great Wall is named the Pit of D'arqest. And the creation of the hole in the wall was one of the other catalysts for the war, along with the prince and princess love. And they couldn't separate as the princess was already pregnant. D'arqest likely created the Pit to cause the war, so they could flee and he could give Claude the blood of Vide and raise him to become a vessel TLDR: D'arqest created a war between two nations so his child and the other prince/princess would flee and create Lostseed, far away from any other influence, and allow D'arqest to make Clauds into his vessel.
