Yeah that superboss is absolute bullshit. Even maxed out parties can get insta-killed.

For sure, I grinded my entire roster up above 90 and still got stomped by the first part of the fight due to the appendages and not being able to get them down when they switch to different elemental weaknesses :p I do suck at strategic thinking though and the game really rewards hard thinking and planning for fights. Awesome game none the less.

It’s all about setup and strategy. Cheese is highly encouraged. I personally prefer bringing Ochette for the first phase to break the souls. Second phase at the end is all about killing Galdera before he kills you, whether that’s by overhealing and tanking, or just breaking him and unloading all your DPS before he can wake up and get 4 turns in a row. I’ve beat him with makeshift weapons and no armor or accessories using those principles.
