This was the original 1960's eyerly aircraft 24 spinning cars, 6 arms monster. I didn't think it still existed especially in the 21st century (2020's).

This ride is actually called a Monster, not Octopus. There is one just like it at the Washington State Fair (owned by Funtastic Shows) and I never knew the difference until recently. I think Funtastic calls theirs the Spider, but it's the same ride. I always preferred this over the actual Octopus ride.

I hate that you have to have two riders per car to ride the one at the fair. In fact, all the rides are like that. It sucks.

a fun FYI.... the scrambler sat in that spot and the octopus was over where Bamboozler is now when the park opened in 1973. The scrambler moved over to the kiddie area because it originally was going to be inside the Incredodome building but didn't fit. So the scrambler took the spot where Incredodome was in the kiddie area. Now the scrambler is back in it's very original location where it started in 1973.

nope....... Octopus opened with Worlds Of Fun back in 1973.... the original name was Oriental Octopus because it was in the orient section when Worlds Of Fun opened in 1973.
