Ocular Max has become my favorite 3P company. I still love FansToys' stuff but OC just nails it every time and unlike FT I can actually find their stuff after the pre-order period. Their Combaticons/Bruticus is one of the jewels of my collection (doesn't hurt that they're my favorite combiner) and even when the transformations are complex I rarely want to just throw the figure across the room.

This is a really good modernization of Streetwise, I have to say. I'd prefer the hood to fold onto the front of the bot, but the way it was done leaves it very nice and one-piece-like.

It may be slightly outside your wheelhouse but I highly recommend you check out the Macross worldwide anniversary release of The vf-25 Valkyrie Messiah. It is a jet Transformer from the franchise that jet fire comes from Macross/Robotech. It's a perfect example of why the vehicle should be designed first as both the robot mode and vehicle mode have zero kibble in a simple transformation

Just got my Medicus / First Aid for 80 euros (a bargain!) and will be getting this one for sure! Love the MMC / OM bots! Have their Assaultus / Bruticus as well and when I heard they were going to make their own version of the Protectobots, I made a promise to myself to get that set too!

I don't understand why Xtransbots goes to all of the trouble of making this figures with super complex transformation which makes the figures extremely fragile when they could go MMC route and create a figure with a simple transformation durable and looks better than the over complex and fragile Xtransbots figure like when i was watching your video i never felt afraid of you breaking the figure when you where handling him unlike the Xtransbots version every time i see i review of that figure i always gets scare that they are going to break it

It’s a great looking figure for sure. I just can’t go mmc because the combiner is too small. I need them to be 21in tall. For that I go xtb. Now for bot mode display I’d definitely go mmc

$650 total for this piece, no paint, no die cast particularly in critical places such as feet. Even X-Transbots uses die cast. Mirrors on the vehicle modes are a soft rubber which already fell off of First Aid. In my opinion it’s a good combiner only if the price reflects the quality which I would place around $350 for the entire combiner of course not including shipping. DX9’s Attila is a better combiner in my opinion by a big margin. Individual bots mode I would give it to MMC however let’s keep in mind DX9 charged $399 on Show-Z including shipping for their Menasor which in my opinion is one of the best combiners out there and probably ever made. Moving forward there isn’t not enough value from MMC any longer and they fell really short and I’m quite disappointed with the quality. Regarding their design it’s great but that’s a separate aspect. Moving forward out of principle I’m completely out on buying new MMC pieces after I finished Defensor.
