I used quest 1 until July last year when onwards servers went offline and I can tell you, the upgrade is insane! I would wait to go from quest 2 to 3 until probably July but the quest 3 is amazing, I wont even get started on the remotes, better graphics, passthrough, etc because that would make this an essay

I guess biggest question for me is, does the switch from OLED to LCD from Quest 1 to 3 become a game changer whenever you eliminate the screen door effect? I really like the dark scenes of my Q1, but would hate to go back to LCD's and have all blacks appear gray. Sure screendoor effect gone is a nice perk, but color and contrast beats it for me.

1:18 Screendoor effect is the result of both display panel resolution, display panel technology (Oled/ips) and lenses. But lenses moreso increase the field of view than anything else
